This spot is basically a niche in the keep's upper foundation. Various items appear to be stored here.
A beautifully tiled road stretches out to the north. Marble statues line the road on both sides. A large keep lies a little further to the north. Before continuing down the road, you sense a 'wrongness' in the air.
This section of the road passes between two guard houses. Stone statues are positioned every ten yards to either side, forming a perimeter around the keep. From this distance, occasional shadows can be seen passing by the windows.
Upon entering the guard house, a scene of chaos unfolds before you. Bodies lie strewn about, ripped and torn, looking as if they were mauled by some great beast. Armor and weapons lie everywhere, some still held or worn by the dead guards.
The smell of rotten flesh assaults your nose after entering this building. Bodies that have been dismembered and torn to pieces lie all about the room. An open door on the west wall leads into what looks like a small barracks.
Six cots line two of the walls in this room, each with its own corpse. The scene is much the same as in the guard house, the only difference being that these men were killed while sleeping. On the north wall is a closed door.
This small office is sparsely decorated. A wooden table and a chair, and a half eaten corpse. Blood covers everything in the room. From the uniform, it is easy to guess that this was the captain of the guard.
You stand in front of two, large oaken doors. Two dismembered corpses lie in awkward positions in front of the doors, apparently these were guards. Claw marks have been etched into the door, and some on the stone walls. Something very strong and unnatural must have made the claw marks on the wall. A path leads east and west around the perimeter of the keep.
Blood covers everything here. The floor is sticky with pools of blood, and blood is also splattered on the walls. Strange clawed footprints lead off to the north, making a bloody trail that can be followed quite easily.
This tile hallway may have once been beautiful, but now it is a vision straight from a nightmare. Dark and foreboding can best describe this place. A small library lies to the east, and a study to the west. The bloody footprints lead on to the north.
Strangely enough, this library has been untouched. A few hundred books have been neatly placed in bookcases throughout the room. Aside from books, figurines are on display in cases and a few are on marble pedestals.
This room has been almost totally destroyed. What was once a beautiful wooden desk, now lies in a pile of broken pieces and splinters. A shredded tapestry barely hangs on the wall. The only thing that can be made out on the tapestry is the vague shape of a dragon's head.
This section of the hallway is lined with tapestries. They are all torn and ripped. Smears of blood are on the floor and the walls. The bloody footprints just seem to end right here.
This is a secret passage. Cobwebs hang from the ceiling and dust is packed in the corners of the walls. The center of the passage is clear of dust, showing signs of recent use. Bloody footprints lead off to the west.
The passage turns here. Cobwebs hang in clumps from the ceiling and dust is piled in the corner. A pool of blood is right in the middle of the passage. Bloody footprints lead south towards a stone staircase.
You are standing at the base of a stone staircase. A single torch rests in a sconce on the wall, casting eerie shadows about the room. A set of bloody footprints leads up the stairs.
This part of the hallway is bare. Claw marks have been scratched into the floor and walls. A large opened chamber is visible just to the north.
This is a large open chamber. The room is, or rather was, used for receiving and greeting visiting guests. Now, it is a grisly mausoleum for the former inhabitants of the keep. The bodies of servants lie in piles throughout the chamber. A message is scrawled in blood next to one of the bodies.
This stretch of the hallway is almost identical to the rest. Blood is streaked across the walls and the floor. An intersection is to the north and a large chamber lies to the south.
As you approach this intersection, you can see a figure propped up against the wall. A pool of blood has formed all around him, and more is pouring out from a fatal wound in his side. The hall leads west to a door, east towards a grand staircase and south down a long, dark hallway.
Part of the hallway has been completely destroyed by some magical blast. The residual effects of the explosion have created a small, dead magic zone. All magic ceases to exist within this area.
You are standing at the bottom of a huge staircase. Intricately carved dragon heads adorn the lower posts of the banister. A pool of blood can be seen about halfway up the stairs.
You are standing in the hallway in front of a wooden door with deep gouges in it. Something tried to get through the door, but failed. The only other thing in this area is a sputtering torch set in a wall sconce. There doesn't appear to be any way to open the door.
This small closet holds only one thing...a small child. Apparently, the child was hidden from the lycanthropes. He may be the only survivor in the keep.
This gloomy path leads around the perimeter of the keep. The keep's walls are covered with climbing vines. Strange sounds linger on the wind about you.

This gloomy path leads around the perimeter of the keep. The keep's walls are covered with climbing vines. Strange sounds linger on the wind about you. A foreboding stand of trees lies to the west.
This stairwell is devoid of all light. It is small and cramped, making movement somewhat dangerous. It would be quite easy to slip and fall and break your neck.
This stairwell is devoid of all light. It is small and cramped, making movement somewhat dangerous.
You are standing at the bottom of a set of stairs at the end of a long hallway. Iron doors line the walls of this place. Torches have been placed every twenty feet, creating wildly dancing shadows.
The hallway shows signs of recent activity. Many footprints line the floor, all heading in various directions. Heavy iron doors are on the north and south walls. Nothing can be heard beyond the doors.
This small cell holds nothing but a corpse. Iron chains are bound around the body's hands and feet, and a tray of rotten food lies just beyond the reach of the victim. It is obvious that the person died of starvation.
An unearthly cold accosts you as you enter this cell. The corpse of a prisoner lies at your feet, strangled by the chains that bind it to the wall.
Torches hang on both walls at this point in the hallway. Signs of recent movement show on the floor. Tracks in the dust show signs of a struggle and a single drop of blood is dried on the floor.
Footprints lead east and west here, and also to the north, beyond the cell door. A small smear of dried blood is on the door handle. A low groaning sound can be heard coming from beyond the door to the north.
This cell is just the rest of the cells, the only difference is that the prisoner in here is alive. He is chained to the wall by his arms and legs. A tray of rotten food lies just out of reach of the prisoner.
This cell is completely empty, except for the chains hanging from the walls. The cell appears to have been unoccupied for quite some time.
You have come to the end of the hallway. Torches flicker on the north and south walls, outlining a door on the west wall. Light issues out from beneath the door.
The light in this room is blinding. A single candle rests directly in the middle of the room. Nothing else adorns this room.
Standing here at the top of the staircase, you can see down a short hallway. Drops of blood are on the floor, leading down the hallway. Two human size forms stand just at the end of the corridor.
This part of the hallway is rather plain, except for the corpses lying at odd angles on the floor. Judging from the amount of blood everywhere, there must have been a fierce battle fought here.
You are standing at the end of the hallway, just outside of a set of huge, double doors. The doors are crafted of stone, and they have intricately carved battle scenes etched onto them. The main figure in the scenes is a huge dragon.
Before you is a vast hall. Huge statues adorn the sides of the chamber. Guards stand in various places throughout the hall. A lone figure sits on a throne at the opposite end of the room.
This chamber is huge. From the looks of it, it takes up the majority of the top level of the keep. The high ceiling is about fifty feet high, the room is one hundred feet wide, and two hundred feet long. The ceiling has many battle scenes painted on it. Guards move about, eyeing you with hatred.
This gloomy path leads around the perimeter of the keep. The keep's walls are covered with climbing vines. Strange sounds linger on the wind about you.
The trees here are all dead and twisted. A thick mist covers the ground, muffling footfalls on the ground. A glistening slime covers most of the trees, giving off a horrible stench of decay. A chill wind blows through the glade, but the odd thing is that the mist does not move. It must have taken something incredibly evil to taint a forest like this.
You are standing directly in the middle of the hall. Off to your left is a pile of bodies, perhaps the former guard. The current guards snarl and growl before attacking.
A beautifully crafted throne dominates this section of the hall. Its high back rears up from behind to form the head of a dragon with huge emeralds for eyes. The arms of the chair are fashioned after the arms of a real dragon, as well as the base of the throne. A lone figure sits rigidly on the throne.
This part of the stand of trees is almost barren, except for shattered tree trunks and broken branches. The ground is blackened, as if by fire. The smell of sulfur hangs heavy in the air. The burned husks of some forest animals also lie scattered about.
The room is completely empty. There is a strange feeling of magic in the air. Suddenly....*FLASH*
The top of the stairs here are covered in blood. Footprints lead north, after coming up from below. Shadows dance off the walls from the single torch about ten feet to the north.
A sputtering torch and thick dust are about the only thing in the bend in the hall. Footprints come from the south and lead off to the west.
You are in the middle of a short hallway. You can see dark spots on the floor, which can only be more blood. The footprints seem to stop right here. A dark and narrow stairwell lies to the west.
This stairwell is empty of all light. It is small and cramped, making movement somewhat difficult. It looks like a very tight fit going down.
*THUMP* After a bright flash and a painful fall, you appear in this cold, damp room. A passage opens to the east.
Judging from the cave-like passage, you must be underneath the keep. A light mist covers the ground here, but it appears to be gradually getting thicker. A flicker of movement catches your eye to the south.
The passage ends here. The mist is quite thick and more is pouring out from beneath a closed doorway on the east wall. A strange feeling makes you shiver while standing here.
Billowing clouds of mist fill the whole chamber. Water drips from the cave ceiling into small pools on the floor. Shadowy shapes move about within the mist. Glowing eyes stare back at you as you look about.
