This is the execution chamber. Devices of all sizes, shapes and descents lie scattered around the room. Some look familiar, while others you have never seen. Although some are as old as time itself, there is no dust, and you can not find cobwebs anywhere. You begin to wonder if these devices are still being used by some strange, unknown force. The thought of what some of these devices could do to a person sends shivers up and down your spine.
You are floating waist-high in the rainbow, surrounded by a red so deep it seems to glow. Soft, fluffy clouds drift past at the level of your knees. The rainbow carries on to the north, where it begins to curve down toward the forest, and back to the south it climbs to its crest.
The rainbow is turquoise here, the color of shallow water, and it slopes steeply downward. Below you the colors fade into the landscape at the end of the rainbow, at the edge of a dark forest. The red band rises back to the south.
The light here is a bright spring green, and the air smells faintly of cut grass. The rainbow bends sharply upward toward its crest, and the colors grow thicker and stranger the higher they go. The orange band slopes away to the east.
Here, just off the road, a rainbow comes down out of the sky and touches the grass, so close that you could reach out and put your hand into the color. The band nearest the ground is a deep, shimmering indigo, and it feels almost solid underfoot, like stepping onto a cloud. The rainbow climbs upward in a long, gentle arc, and an old saying comes to mind about what lies at the other end of it. The road lies back to the north.
You stand at the very top of the rainbow's arc, high above the treetops. Far to the north a dark forest spreads out below, and in the middle of it the gray towers of a castle rise above the trees. The rainbow runs on to the north and drops back down to the green band below. To the west the colors are thin and faded, and the rainbow looks as if it is beginning to crumble. That doesn't look like a safe place to go.
You are floating waist-high in the rainbow, wrapped in warm orange light. The colors swirl lazily around you like smoke, and the ground is already some way below. The rainbow sinks back down to its foot below you, and its arc carries on westward, climbing as it goes.
You have finally reached the end of the rainbow. Here the colors fade into the landscape, and the rainbow climbs back up into the sky above you. To the north stands a large, solid door, seemingly made of nothing but colors, and beyond it you can see grass and trees.
As you step out onto this edge of the rainbow, it crumbles under your weight. You plummet to a most painful and messy death!
You are standing in the middle of a small clearing. The grass here is withered and dying, and you get an eerie feeling that you are being watched. To the north lies a dark and foreboding forest, and to the south the rainbow door shimmers with warm, friendly color. Do you really want to enter the forest? The western edge of the clearing is a low wall of mossy stone that seems oddly out of place.
Surprise, surprise! I guess that myth about the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow wasn't a myth after all! The only way out is back through the wall to the east.
Walking into the darkness of this forest, you begin to shiver. This is nothing like any forest you have ever seen: dead trees, thick underbrush and darkness are all that welcome you, and there is no animal life whatsoever. The only question to be asked is "Are you brave enough to continue?" Going north leads deeper into the forest toward its heart, and paths lead off to the east and west between the dead trunks. Southward you can see the small clearing.
A stone head stares up at you out of the dead weeds, its face frozen in an expression of terror. You get an uneasy feeling in your stomach: it is as though pure evil has wandered through this part of the forest. Nothing can live here; the trees, shrubs and underbrush are all dead for lack of sunlight. Paths lead north, east and west.
The forest is just as dark and gloomy here as everywhere else. Large bits of carved stone lie half buried in the dead leaves: an arm here, a leg there, almost like the pieces of a shattered statue. The path along the moat runs east and west, and another leads south into the trees.
Thickly tangled underbrush and dead trees surround a hollow where a huge boulder has come to rest. There is an almost deafening silence. Beneath the underbrush you can feel something moving by your feet, and you are too frightened to imagine what it could be. Paths lead north toward the moat, east toward the forest entrance and west into the gloom.
You have reached what APPEARS to be the western edge of the forest. However, as you look westward you see an unending scenery of bush, dead trees and darkness, and every so often you think you see something moving within it. Looking up, you can tell that little to no sunlight enters this forest; it is almost as if a magical force has blocked out the sun. The only paths lead north and east.
You are standing in the heart of the forest. Never before have you seen such darkness or felt such horror; no matter where you go in this forest, you can't shake the lingering feeling of death. To the north, across a steaming moat, a large stone castle rises above the trees. It must once have been a warm and comforting sight; now it is falling apart and covered in dead ivy. Its drawbridge is raised. Paths follow the moat to the east and west, and the forest entrance lies to the south.
Better watch your step! You almost fell into the moat! Just past the edge, a twenty foot drop below, is the steaming water. Because of the moat there are very few trees here, which makes you feel a little more at ease. A few pieces of broken statue lie at the edge. The bank runs east and west, and a path leads south into the trees.
You can't help but wonder what vile creature could have created such a dark and evil forest. You have not seen any life at all; all of the vegetation is dead, and the closest thing to another human is the pieces of statue scattered about. Eastward the dead forest seems to go on forever. Paths lead north and west.
Because of the nearby moat the forest thins out here, though the presence of evil and the feeling of death still linger in the air. Beyond the bank the ground simply ends: it is a twenty foot drop to the steaming water, and going over is out of the question unless you enjoy going SPLAT. The bank runs east and west, and a path leads south.
You are in the moat that surrounds the castle. Steam rises from the water, and you feel very hot. On one side the castle wall rises so high that it seems to touch the heavens; on the other, the forest floor is a good twenty feet above you. It is like a tunnel with no ceiling. The moat turns a corner here: it runs north along the western wall and east toward the drawbridge. Suddenly the water begins to ripple, and you get the feeling you had better get moving.
You are standing on the drawbridge that leads to the castle. It is very old, and the wood is beginning to decay. In the center of the drawbridge is a hole just large enough to crawl through, leading down to the waters of the moat. To the north you can faintly see the main foyer of the castle. Going south takes you back into that god-forsaken forest.

The moat turns a corner here, running north along the eastern wall and west toward the drawbridge. Suddenly the water begins to ripple, and you get the feeling you had better get moving.
The moat runs along beside you, and the castle wall rises beyond it so high it seems to touch the heavens. Steam drifts up from the water. Every so often you think you see something moving within the dark trees. The bank runs east and west, and a path leads south.
Here the moat turns a corner around the castle, and the path turns with it. Because of the water there are very few trees, and for a moment you can see the sky, which lets you breathe a little easier. The bank runs north along the castle's western side and east along its southern side.
The forest is thinner here beside the moat, but the presence of evil and the feeling of death still linger in the air. The bank turns a corner: it runs north along the castle's eastern side and west along its southern side. A faint smell of smoke comes from the north.
Thickly tangled underbrush and dead trees close in on every side, and the path along the moat comes to an end. There seems to be an almost deafening silence. Northward and westward the forest seems to go on forever, but it is too thick to pass. The only way back is south.
Wandering through this forest, your heart cannot stop racing. You are overwhelmed by the evil here: the air is cold, all forms of life seem to be dead, and you are surrounded by darkness. Just beyond the bank is a twenty foot drop into the waters that surround the castle. The bank leads north and south.

On one side the castle wall rises so high that it seems to touch the heavens; on the other, the forest floor is a good twenty feet above you. It is like a tunnel with no ceiling. Here the moat turns from the western wall to the northern one, running south and east. Something large brushes past your legs under the water.

On one side the castle wall rises so high that it seems to touch the heavens; on the other, the forest floor is a good twenty feet above you. It is like a tunnel with no ceiling. This stretch runs along the castle's northern wall, east and west. High above you, a balcony juts out from the castle.

On one side the castle wall rises so high that it seems to touch the heavens; on the other, the forest floor is a good twenty feet above you. It is like a tunnel with no ceiling. The moat turns a corner here, running west along the northern wall and south along the eastern one.
You are standing outside a small cabin, entirely covered in moss and fungus. There is a small fire pit here with smoking ashes still in it; someone must have just made dinner. The deep moat runs past just behind you, below the bank, and the path along it leads back south. To the east is the cabin's door, slightly open. You think you hear noise coming from inside!
Standing in the center of this cabin, your heart begins to race. A collection of statues lines the walls, all resembling past adventurers thought to be dead! Cobwebs and dust are the only other decorations in this forgotten shack, and the smell of rotting flesh almost makes you pass out. Suddenly you hear a low-pitched growl. As you turn around, a group of extremely large dogs steps out of the shadows! The door is to the west.
The main foyer of this castle is not what you expected. The floor is marble, as shiny as a new gold coin. Candles and torches line the walls, giving an enormous amount of light, and portraits hang between them, surely of the family that once lived here. There are stone pillars so wide you couldn't wrap your arms around them. Yet the biggest shock is that the castle is immaculately clean! The foyer stretches north, east and west, and the drawbridge lies to the south.
This corner of the foyer is simply breathtaking. There is a hand-carved antique table, and a bench made entirely of gold rests against the wall, its cushions of the finest fabrics to be found. You wonder how such treasures can still remain. Has no one succeeded in taking them? The foyer continues north and west.
In this corner of the foyer stands a large, wooden closet covering most of the wall, where guests to the castle would have hung their coats and hats. A large, beautiful rug lies in front of it, surely very expensive and woven in some far-off land. The foyer continues north and east.
At this end of the foyer there is very little. The stone pillars are enormous, at least thirty feet high, and the sweet smell of perfume and incense lingers in the air. You wonder how this castle can be kept so clean. A hallway leads north into the western wing, and the foyer continues east and south.
Hanging from the ceiling is an enormous crystal chandelier, beautifully made, with intricate designs carved into each piece of crystal. The staircase to the upper floor lies to the north. The foyer continues east, south and west.
At this end of the foyer stands a small tea cart made entirely of silver. To the north a hallway leads off into the rest of the castle, and through a door to the east you can see the dining hall. The foyer continues south and west.
The table ends here, as do the chairs around it. This end still has a setting, with the remains of a meal. Two large chandeliers hang over the table to light the room. A large curtain spans the south wall, and the dining hall stretches back to the west.
You have entered the castle's dining hall, where the family would take its meals and hold its feasts. An enormous table begins here and runs east for what seems like forever; it could easily seat over fifty people. The foyer is back through the door to the west.
The castle kitchen is enormous. A large stone oven stands against one wall with a fire pit below to heat it, a counter runs the length of the north wall, and a cold larder for the perishables is set into the south wall. A large cutting block stands in the center. The smell of rotten food is very strong, and you think you are going to be sick. The preparation room is to the east.
This is where the food was prepared before it was carried out to be served. A large wooden table stands in the center of the room, with vegetable flowers and other food decorations scattered over it. The kitchen is to the west, and a curtain to the north opens into the dining hall.
As you walk into this room, you are shocked. A beautiful chair is here with a small table beside it. This must be the study, where the owners of this castle took care of whatever business they had. The study continues to the south, and the door to the hallway is to the north.
You are surrounded by slithering snakes. All this pit holds is snakes, shed skin and the remains of whatever the snakes have been eating. They all begin to move in and surround you. Better move fast! The only way out is to climb back up to the ledge.
At this end of the study, a large table stands surrounded by soft, comfortable chairs. Papers are scattered across it, as though the owners were interrupted in the middle of a meeting. There is a large fireplace to the west, and as you look inside, you notice there are no ashes or wood; looking closer, there is no backing to the fireplace at all. The study continues north, and a small hideaway opens to the east.
The study curves into a small hideaway here, with a desk and some shelves. A life-size portrait of a man hangs against one wall; you assume it is the owner of this castle. A large candle stand holds a candle burning away in the corner, and plants have been placed about the room. The rest of the study is to the west.
As you enter the library, your eyes fall upon the largest collection of books you have ever seen. A ladder with wheels on its feet leans against a bookcase that reaches the ceiling and follows the wall all the way around the room. The library continues north and east, and the hallway is through the door to the south.
The bookcases continue here. Two large, comfortable chairs stand with a table between them, and a small lantern on the table sheds just enough light to read by. A couple of books rest on the table; whoever was reading them never got the chance to finish. The rest of the library is to the west.
This section of the library is simply breathtaking. A beautiful Persian rug lies on the floor, and tropical plants have been carefully placed around the room. A small fireplace is set into the north wall, with the bookcase built around it. Along the east wall a couple of books lie on the floor beneath a gap on the shelf. They seem to have fallen off, but how? The rest of the library is to the south.
You are floating in what looks like a black hole. There doesn't appear to be walls or a floor. It looks like you are stuck!
This room is completely void of light and color. The only thing in it is a large golden throne, with a ruby set in its headboard, the largest you have ever laid eyes upon. Beyond the throne, to the north, the darkness seems even deeper. You suddenly notice two glowing red eyes staring at you.
You are standing in a magnificently furnished room. A beautiful sofa of the world's finest fabrics rests here, with an end table on either side and a coffee table in front of it, and a couple of chairs are spread around the room. A large double door to the west separates the rest of the room from this part. The hallway is to the south.
You have once again entered the nothingness. You aren't quite sure how you got in here, or how you will get out. However, after that last creature, you are terrified to think of what lies ahead!
This section of the room interests you a great deal. A large bar stands against one wall, fully stocked with the finest drinks in the land. Large plants and rare paintings decorate the room, and a couple of tables and chairs are set out so guests may sit and enjoy their drinks. The double door is to the east.
You are standing on the staircase to the upper floor of the castle. It has a concave shape, narrow in the center and wide at the top and bottom. A gorgeous red carpet begins at its base and leads the way up. The foyer lies to the south.
The only decorations in this cramped space beneath the stairs are bones, skulls, dust and webs. You thought your imagination was playing tricks on you, until a dark figure steps out of the corner and slashes at you! The way out is back to the south.
You have stumbled upon a hidden room behind the staircase. Judging by the cobwebs and dust, no one has entered it in decades, and the only light comes through the doorway to the east. Bones and skulls are scattered around the floor. You can barely make out a strange shape in the darkness to the north. Maybe you should turn back. Otherwise you may end up on the floor as well!
This is where the northern and eastern hallways meet the main foyer. The marble floor gives way to soft, plush carpet, and the portraits to large murals. Much to your surprise there are lovely flowers in a vase, and a small tree-like plant rests in the corner. The faint smell of parchment tickles your nose. The hallway runs north and east, and the foyer is to the south.
You have once again been carried into a shapeless, blackened room. All that exists here is a single tree. This confuses you, until you notice what is hanging from it! To the south the blackness swirls like a whirlpool.
You have arrived at the end of the hallway. There is nothing here but two torches hanging on the wall. That puzzles you, and as you study the room more closely, you notice an inconsistency in the west wall. The hallway leads back south.
This is the eastern hallway of the castle. The carpet continues here, as do the gold torches and the murals. Plants line one wall, and a brass bench rests against the other. To the north is the library, and the smell of parchment and old books lingers there. The hallway runs east and west.
This is the western hallway of the castle. The marble floor continues here, with torches hanging from the walls to light the way and portraits lining them. To the north is the sitting room, and the foyer lies to the south. The hallway continues to the west.
The hallway turns here toward the back of the castle. The portraits end, as does the marble floor. To the north the hallway continues into the dark, and to the south is the door to the study. The western hallway leads back east.
You are amazed at how quickly the hallway has changed. A moment ago you were in an immaculate, lavish hallway; now there is nothing but a cold, concrete floor, dust and a single torch. To the north lies the end of the hallway, and going south takes you back to the better part of the castle.
You have reached the end of the western hallway. It looks like no one has been here in years. Cobwebs hang everywhere, and small spiders scurry about at your intrusion. There is a dampness in the air that all but wets your clothes. There is a small doorway to the west, and the hallway leads back south.
You are standing in a small round tower room. Judging by the thickness of the webs, it hasn't been used in decades; as you wipe them aside, millions of tiny spiders run in every direction. There is absolutely no light here, and the smell is beginning to turn your stomach! A stairway leads down into the dark, and a door to the east leads back to the hallway.
You have stepped through the back of the fireplace and find yourself at the bottom of the castle's southwestern tower. The walls are cold and made of some weird-looking stone, and wooden torches light a steep concrete staircase that leads up. The study is back through the fireplace to the east.

There is no light here, and the smell is beginning to turn your stomach! A stairway leads down into the dark, and a door to the north leads back to the hallway.
This part of the hall is damp and dreary. Small bugs run about, and dust is stuck to the walls in clumps because of the dampness (at least you think it's dust!), and mold grows everywhere. The walls and floor are bare concrete, and a single, lonely torch lights the way. A small door is in the south wall, and the hallway leads north.
You have reached the eastern wall of the castle. The hallway runs north and south, but the carpet, torches and murals only continue to the north; to the south the lavish decorations end. The eastern hallway leads back west.
The plush carpet feels nice and soft beneath your feet, and the torches along this part of the wall seem to be made of gold. The upkeep and cleanliness of the hallway still amaze, not to mention confuse, you. Who is taking care of this castle? A small door can be seen to the north, and the hallway leads back south.
You are standing at the bottom of the castle's northeastern tower. The walls are cold and made of a weird-looking stone, and wooden torches light a steep staircase that leads the way up. A door to the south opens onto the hallway.
Climbing these stairs is exhausting. The staircase is very steep, and even a giant would have a hard time going from one step to the next. There is little dust in this tower, and through the windows all you can see is the clear blue sky and the darkened top of the forest. The stairs climb on up and lead back down.
Once again, the nothing engulfs you in its cold embrace. You begin to shiver from the coldness that surrounds you. You begin to feel light-headed, and everything is beginning to blur. You think you are going to pass out.
Standing here, your nose is filled with a wretched stench. Flies are everywhere, and they are beginning to annoy you. The stairs lead up and down. Looking up, you think you can see... A HAND?!
You have finally reached the top of the tower. The stench here is overpowering, and you feel like you are going to be sick. A large pile of bones fills one corner, and more bones and skulls are scattered everywhere. Right beside the staircase lies a decomposing hand, torn from the body it once belonged to. You regret ever coming up here. The only way is back down the stairs.
Standing on this staircase, a chill runs up your spine; you are chilled to the bone by a draft that has appeared from nowhere. You begin to wonder if going down to the bottom of the tower is really worth it. The stairs lead up and down.
You have reached the bottom of the tower. There is a lot of dust here and even more webs, and hundreds of tiny insects run in every direction. You can barely make out a door to the north, and the stairs lead back up.

You thought the tower was bad! This place is a hundred times worse. Cobwebs and dust are everywhere; from the looks of things, the dungeons haven't been used in ages. A hallway leads east, and the door to the tower is to the south.
You are wandering through the hallway of the dungeon. Cold stone walls and a burnt-out torch are all that greet you. There is a cell behind bars in the south wall. The hallway continues east and west.
This is a typical cell for prisoners. Chains hang from the wall, to which the prisoners would be shackled. A pile of hay in one corner serves as a bed, and in the opposite corner, you are disgusted to see, is a pile of filth. The prisoners of this castle were not treated very well. The bars are to the north.

The dungeon hallway goes on, cold and damp, lit only by a burnt-out torch. Something drips steadily in the dark. There is a cell to the south, and the hallway continues east and west.
You have stumbled upon a special cell. It seems to be made of some strange, foreign metal, enchanted to trap souls inside. Souls, ghosts and ghouls float around the room, all staring at you evilly. Better get moving before you become one of them! The door is to the north.
The dungeon hallway ends here, but the misery it bestows upon you remains. A heavy door with no window is set into the south wall; you assume it leads to another cell, but what could be in there? The north wall is rough, uneven stone, and the hallway leads back west.
You have found a narrow passageway behind the dungeon walls. There is no light in here whatsoever. You can hear a scratching sound, and you shudder to think what could be making it. The passage leads west, and the hidden door back into the dungeon is to the south.
You can still hear the scratching sound, louder now. The air is damp, and the cobwebs don't let you see more than a foot in front of you. The narrow passage runs east and west.
You have reached the end of the passageway. Rats run in all directions, and it is extremely cold here. Directly to the west is a large steel door, and you wonder what could be behind it. The passage leads back east. All of a sudden, a claw reaches out of the shadows and grabs you!
You have found the castle vault! This is where all of the castle's valuables are stored. The inside of the vault seems to be made of gold, and it glitters accordingly. Precious metals and stones are everywhere! The steel door is to the east.
The dungeon hallway ends here, but the misery it bestows upon you remains. A heavy door with no window is set into the north wall; you assume it leads to another cell, but what could be in there? A faint hissing comes from behind it. The hallway leads back east.
The dungeon hallway goes on, cold and damp, lit only by a burnt-out torch. A low hissing comes from somewhere to the west. There is a cell to the north, and the hallway continues east and west.

WOAH! Luck must be with you today. Stepping into this room, you just about fell off a very narrow ledge into a pit of some kind. The ledge is only about a foot wide. Looking down into the pit you can't make out any shapes, but you can see some kind of motion at the bottom, and a hissing sound gives you the impression it could be a snake pit. The door is to the south.

You have reached the top of the staircase, at the beginning of a hallway. The red carpet continues here and seems to cover the entire upper floor, and plants and paintings decorate the walls. The hallway leads north, and the staircase goes back down.
The hallway branches here: one way leads east toward the bedrooms, while the main hallway continues north. A bench rests against the wall with a very interesting painting above it, flanked by two large vases of lovely flowers. The staircase is to the south.
This hallway leads to the bedrooms. The red carpet continues to the end of the hall to the east, and a brass lantern hangs on the wall to light the way. To the south is a bedroom. The hallway continues east and west.
The faint smell of perfume lingers in the air. Beautiful flowers stand in a very old but elegant vase on a small table, and another brass lantern lights this part of the hallway. A door can be seen to the south, and a large closet lies to the north. The hallway continues east and west.
You have reached the end of the hallway. A large mirror covers most of the east wall, giving the illusion that the hallway goes on forever. A small antique table sits in the corner, and a brass lantern burns brightly on the wall. A door can be seen to the south, and the hallway leads back west.
This room is not like any of the others you have come across. The walls and ceiling are completely green, and the ground is covered in shamrocks. A large green throne in the shape of a four-leaf clover sits in the center of the room. Above it, the green ceiling gives way to nothing at all.
You have entered a bedroom filled with toys. A bed in the shape of a carriage rests in the middle of the room, and paintings of a little child, from the age of one to about ten, hang on the walls. You are forced to watch where you step, or you may trip over a toy and break your neck! The door is to the north.
You have entered a very feminine room. The walls are painted pink, and a beautiful dusty rose rug lies on a hardwood floor. A vanity table of pure silver rests against the wall beneath a family portrait. The bed is brass, with a beautiful canopy. This must have been the queen's quarters. The door is to the north.
A very masculine room; you are sure that this was once the king's. Weapons and armor of all shapes and sizes hang on the walls beside the heads of animals, trophies of the king's hunting expeditions. A large bed made of solid gold rests against one wall, and the only other piece of furniture is a wooden dresser. The door is to the north.
Once again, you are taken to the nothing. An empty void in time and space. You feel helpless as you float around, not being able to control your direction. You only wish this would come to an end.
This is a large walk-in closet. Shelves line two of its walls, and a wooden rail is fixed to the eastern wall to hang things from. It is fairly empty except for a couple of towels, sheets and pillowcases. You notice a small trap door in the east wall, and can't help but wonder what is on the other side. The closet door is to the south.
You have somehow managed to get inside the castle walls. Every step stirs the dust into a growing cloud; you begin to cough, and your eyes turn red and water. You are amazed at the network of webs here, and as you wipe them aside, you are shocked at how sticky they are. The passage leads north, and the trap door is to the west.
As you walk on, you can just make out hundreds of spiders running around everywhere. It seems you have entered some kind of nest, and you begin to wonder whether you should stay. The passage inside the wall turns here, leading south and west.
As you enter this part of the hidden passage, you are shocked. Everywhere you look are creatures of every kind, completely wrapped in spider webs. This seems to be a larder of some kind. Two questions race through your mind: "How big is this spider, to need this much food?" and "Am I going to be next?!" The passage runs east and west.
You have stumbled upon the lair of the spider queen. In one corner lie thousands of spider eggs, each about the size of your fist. The floor and walls are completely covered in the stickiest webbing you have ever encountered. As you turn to leave, back east to some place safe, you suddenly see eight huge eyes staring at you!
This part of the hallway is just as stunningly beautiful as the rest. The soft red carpet feels like heaven under your feet, the sweet smell of incense tickles your nose, and the soft, warm colors are a pleasant sight for your eyes. The hallway runs north and south.
You have entered one of the castle's guest rooms. A large double bed with a night stand is here, and along the south wall stands a desk that looks very old and very expensive. A tall oak dresser is the only other thing in the room. A door to the west leads to the bathroom, and the hallway is to the north.
This is the guests' bathroom. A huge tub made entirely of marble is here, a shower stall stands in the corner, and a marble counter runs along the opposite wall beneath a mirror that reaches the ceiling. The two doors, east and west, lead to the two guest rooms.
You have entered one of the guest rooms of the castle. There is a large double bed with a canopy against the south wall, a night table on either side of it, and a large dresser in the corner. A small vanity table rests against the west wall. Doors lead north to the hallway and east to the bathroom.
You have reached the end of the hallway. A large vase about four feet high stands in the corner, filled with some of the nicest flowers you have ever seen. There is a door to the south, or you can go back along the hall to the east.
You are standing in the middle of the hallway. A large mirror hangs on the wall here, and as you look at yourself, you notice that this little adventure has added quite a few gray hairs to your head. The hallway continues east and west.
You are at an intersection in the hallway. To the west it continues a short distance before it ends, and to the north it leads to the garden. Going east takes you back to the main hallway. A door lies to the south.
A small, half-moon table rests against the east wall, with a little bowl of sweets on it. The hallway branches here: you may continue north toward the nursery, or go west toward the guest rooms. The main hallway leads back south.
The hallway ends here. Very little decorates this part of it, and that troubles you, until you look to the east and see toys everywhere. That puts your mind at ease: of course no one puts expensive furniture or paintings anywhere near children. The hallway leads back south.
This is the end of the hallway. Plants and flowers of all kinds decorate the room, and walking around you hit your head on a hanging plant and quietly curse under your breath. The hallway continues to the south, or you may go out into the rooftop garden to the west.
You have entered the rooftop garden of the castle. What was once a beautifully colorful garden is now nothing but dead, black vegetation; there doesn't seem to be one living plant or flower here, and even the shrubbery is dead. The garden continues to the north. Suddenly you notice a small parting in the shrubs to the west, and wonder what could be on the other side. The door back inside is to the east.
This part of the garden is just as ugly and dead as the rest. Ivy has grown over the walls and floor, and every step crunches one dead plant or another. A couple of broken flower pots lie about, their dried-up soil scattered everywhere. The rest of the garden is to the south.
This part of the patio is in just as bad shape as the rest. A patio set stands here, a table with an umbrella and eight chairs around it, all covered in rust and falling apart. Ivy from the garden has begun to reach over and swallow the patio in its leaves. The rest of the patio is to the south.
You have found the garden patio. On warm, sunny days the owners would have come out here to relax, but now there is nothing to enjoy: the stone floor and low stone walls are chipped and cracked from the weather and the lack of upkeep. The patio continues to the north, and the garden lies through the shrubs to the east.
This is the entrance to the castle's nursery. Teddy bears and other stuffed animals are everywhere, along with a tricycle, a pile of building blocks and toy figurines. To the north lies the nursery itself, and through a glass door to the east is a balcony. Going west takes you back to the hallway.
This is the balcony of the upper floor. A table with an umbrella is here, surrounded by four chairs; the prince and his nanny would come here for lunch when the weather allowed. Now all that's left is rusted metal, which from the looks of it would give way under your weight. The balcony continues east, and the glass door is to the west.
This is the end of the balcony. Looking over the short wall, you can see the moat far below and the darkened, evil forest that surrounds it. A jungle gym stands in a sand pit in the middle of this part of the balcony, with monkey bars, a slide, a swing and a tire. It reminds you of when you were a child. The balcony leads back west.
You have entered the castle's nursery. This is where the prince spent most of his time with his nanny, playing with his toys and being taught everything he would need later in life. The toys are neatly stacked on the shelves. The nursery continues to the east, and the door to the south leads back out.
This end of the nursery has a table and a couple of chairs. On the table you can see plenty of construction paper, glue and other things for making crafts. The last time the prince sat down to make something, he never had the chance to finish. The rest of the nursery is to the west.
Rows of stone statues stand here in the dark, adventurers caught mid-stride, mid-swing, mid-scream, every face frozen in terror. In one corner is a neat little pile of skulls and bones. A thin, wailing sound drifts in from the north, and the lair leads back to the west.
You have reached the heart of the banshee's lair. Stone statues of long-lost adventurers surround you, and there is a large pile of bones here, some with flesh still on them; they must have belonged to the unlucky ones who were not turned into statues! The way back is to the south.
You have stumbled upon the lair of the banshee. Stone statues of long-lost adventurers surround you, and there is a small pile of bones at your feet. You assume they belonged to the adventurers who weren't lucky enough to be turned into statues! The lair goes on to the east. In the floor, almost hidden among the bones, is the outline of a trap door.
You are in the moat that surrounds the castle. Steam rises from the water, and you feel very hot. On one side the castle wall rises so high that it seems to touch the heavens; on the other, the forest floor is a good twenty feet above you. It is like a tunnel with no ceiling. Directly overhead is the rotting underside of the drawbridge, with a hole in it just large enough to climb up through. The moat runs east and west along the castle's southern wall.
You are in the southwestern tower of the castle. The staircase is very steep, and the steps are very high and very deep; the climb is exhausting you. A window lets in fresh air, and through it you can see the top of the darkened forest and the always welcome, clear blue sky. The stairs lead up and down.
You are simply exhausted from the climb. Although you haven't reached the top of the tower yet, you aren't sure that you want to. You can hear weird noises coming from above, and the smell from there is ferocious. You have a strange feeling that going up to the top of this tower will mean certain death. The stairs lead back down.
You have reached the top of the tower. Decomposing bodies and skeletons are everywhere! You are horror-struck by the sight of all the corpses. As you turn to go back down, the staircase that once permitted passage to this hell bent tower disappears, leaving no route of escape. Suddenly, an enormous creature grabs you! It takes one look at you, and the last thing you hear is "Yummy, LUNCH".
Upon entering this room, you feel like you have been split in two. On one side of the room, you can see all sorts of sporting equipment. A basketball, baseball, hockey equipment, and even a jock strap hanging from a light fixture. On the other side of the room, however, you see a very professional looking desk. Upon which you notice a computer, and many contracts and other such documents. You can tell that these roommates are definitely quite opposite, almost like day and night. The one similarity between the two halves of the room are the ladies clothing that has been thrown aside. It appears that when the ladies decide to visit these two young, handsome men, they like to leave a small souvenir to be remembered by. Such items of clothing consist of bras, panties, and other sexy lingerie.
This is Slayer's hidden love nest. A large, stone fireplace is in the centre of the room, with no backing, allowing you to see right through it. A large bearskin rug lies in front of the fireplace on both sides, for those quiet, romantic moments he likes to spend with his love. An Italian leather sofa, loveseat, and recliner help decorate the room. An expensive bottle of champagne with 2 crystal glasses rest on the floor beside the rug. A beautiful quilt is sprawled to one side, remaining from the last time Slayer had a visitor.
