This is a set of heavenly gates, beyond which lies the holy palace of the Goddess Jandrea. Gold and silver spires adorn the heavenly palace. A host of devas fly about the clear blue skies nearby singing their praises toward your accomplishment. The gates are made of solid diamond and crystal they sparkle with all of the rays of the sun.
This large stairway heads down and up. Above, the staircase heads through a large shimmering portal. The dull black gateway marks the guideline between two layers. Below, the staircase descends downward. The view is impressive here. The sky is black with many glittering stars. A crescent moon casts light over the stark, rocky terrain. The staircase itself doesn't appear to be connected to anything and hangs in mid-air.
The staircase here climbs through the night sky. Stars are cast upon its steps making it blend into the background. The stairs themselves do not seem to be connected to anything. The crescent moon above casts dark shadows over the rocks below. It would be wise to watch one's step as a fall from here would be absolutely fatal.
The staircase continues upward to the west and downward. Clouds sometimes block the ambient light from the moon, all but obscuring vision from working at all. The night sky is silent. Sometimes a wind picks up whooshing through the valley below. Large forms which seem to move about at the limits of vision. These may just be shadows or tricks of the eye. Then again they may be something sinister indeed.
An onyx staircase descends here. It heads downward to the east and upwards. Its surface is marked by twinkling lights mirroring the night sky above. The night air is surprisingly chilly and has a bite to it when the wind picks up. Far below, rocky crags jut out through a veritable sea of fog. One wonders what dark things creep the night.
This dark stairway is barely visible in the night sky. Connected to nothing, it ascends to the west and descends. It enters a dark fog bank below. Above, the sky clears and glittering stars can be seen under a pale crescent moon. The light from the moon is eerie and this seems to be a very unfriendly place.
A large stairway ascends upward into the night sky above. A thick fog surrounds the entire area. Rocks and crags are nearby and the ground is quite uneven. A path through the rocks can just be made out to the south, although visibility here is extremely limited.
Fog filled crags lie here bathing in the darkness of the night sky. The rocks are rough and treacherous. It looks like one can make one's way through the fog to the east and north. Small shapes (and large ones too for that matter!) appear to move through the fog. It is extremely eerie here.
This is a sort of windy way through the mountains. It isn't really a path, more like the only way that makes sense. The star-filled night sky is barely visible through the thick, soup-like fog. The pass heads east and west.
The broken rocks here are twisted and the trail heads to the north and west. A dark cave, little more than a jagged hole between two fallen mountains, is to the south. Its gaping maw opens up menacingly. The fog here is thick and fills both the cave mouth, and the trail here. It is quite cold.
This is a fog filled cave. Water drips down from stalactites on the ceiling. The rocky walls are damp and dank. This cave smells like something was rotting inside of it for an eternity. The air doesn't move much, and perhaps that is the cause of the stench, or then again perhaps not...
A trail winds its way through the mountain and up. The fog here is only slightly revealing the glittering night sky. The trail climbs up to a peak to the east, and it winds down to the south.
The view here from the top of this bluff is simply spectacular. Below lies a great canyon. A large city filled with broken towers and ruined buildings is nestled in the canyon floor. Rising from behind the city is a gigantic castle built into an enormous skull. The skull is embedded within the far mountain. It glares about monstrously. A large trail can be seen winding up to the skull castle. A small path heads west and north, both of them down the mountain.
This is the edge of the trail spiraling eastward into the canyon. Far away to the north, a giant skull looks onward. The canyon floor seems smooth and well traveled. There is little of the normal noises of the night. It is strangely silent.
This is a large canyon. Sheer walls of rock rise on both sides of this bluff. They tower above. It seems quite likely that the canyon serves as a means to defend the skeletal palace. An army coming through this would be easily ambushed. A break in the canyon allows one to climb a trail to the west. The floor of the canyon continues northward.
The canyon floor here is covered by a white substance that has been spread out between the canyons. On close examination, it appears to be made up of bits of bones. Huge columns stand on each side of the mountain. They are made of the same substance and rise clear up the sheer walls of the canyon. The columns are spaced evenly and continue on to the north. To the south, lies a field of bones.
This is a large room cut within the side of the canyon. A foul noisome stench fills the room. The walls are covered with a slimy black ichor. The ground is covered in a thick gooey substance. It is clingy and...unwholesome. Rotting growths seem to bubble within the foul pool. One can exit through the door to the east.
A pair of enormous skeletal gates stand here. Beyond the gates appear to be the ruins of some forgotten city. The gates are huge and look strong. They are made up of some sort of bone. How they are put together remains a mystery. To the east and west is an enormous wall of bones that surrounds the city. The bones stand outward and it looks like it would be an extremely difficult climb. Especially since the whole wall is moving! The bones rustle a bit as one approaches them. The main gate seems to be the only way in. There is a large sign here.
The skeletal wall extends here making a small room. The bones stick out from the walls making this room more than a little bit creepy. A large bone table and several chairs are the only furnishings in this room. It doesn't look like anyone has lived here recently... of course nothing here really lives at all.
This is a city fallen into disrepair. For one thing it is completely silent. Which is eerie in and of itself. The buildings that are present are crumbling. Some of the buildings are made of crushed bone, whereas other older ones are made of stone. Whatever this place was it looks to have been displaced. A cobblestone street heads east and west.
This is an area above the gates. It seems harmless enough. The wall bones seem to be forming a grasping hand. That must just be a trick of the mind. Then again. Perhaps not. It might be wise to head back down. Quickly.
This is a cobblestone road heading north and westward. To the east and south is a wall of bones. The wall seems to move of its own volition and it doesn't seem like one could climb it without injury. To the west are a pair of large skeletal gates.
This cobblestone path is here between two buildings. To the west hangs a sign over what looks like a shopkeeper's door. The shop, like the rest of the town, appears to be noiseless and dead. To the east and south the cobblestones continue.
This is, or was, or still is the shop and home of Anja the Apothecary. Cracked and broken vials, are strewn about the floor. Smelly ointments line the walls and floor. The place smells absolutely horrible. A counter in the room is cracked and broken open. A human skeleton lies around in a vat of some awful liquid. A fireplace sits in the corner of the room. It's as cold and dead as the owner of this place.
The cobblestone street heads north and west. Above, the star-filled night sky provides the only light in the area. The cobblestones themselves stink with some foul putrid substance. The canyon wall is to the east rising sheer up to the top of the cliffs above.
Cobblestones line the roadway between the canyon wall and the back of what looks to have once been an inn. The back of the inn has only a large window to look through, although time has made the glass somewhat less than transparent. The cracked and broken roadway heads north and south through the city, to a crossroad to the north.
This is the end of The Avenue of the Decayed. To the north is a sign on some sort of shop. The shop seems to be tastefully decorated, but the door to it is made of adamantite. This is a newer building that has been made of bone meal. To the west is the remainder of Ghoul avenue. To the south lies Skeleton Road.
A large sign on the far wall says, 'Welcome to the shop of Emilither'. The shop is in ruins and that particular sign hangs at an awkward angle. Broken staves and mangled wands lie strewn about the room, little more than twigs. The walls have strange blood on them.
This is a cobblestone street mixed with bits of crushed and broken bone. It extends both east and west. To the west is a large gate made up of bones. Blocking the way north is a wall of bone. The side of a building lies to the south.
This is the north gate of the City of the Damned. A dark path heads upward to the Skeletal Palace of Orcus. The gate itself is made up of some strange sort of bone. One could try to pass over the gate, either by climbing or flying but the bones move and would probably prevent you from doing so in some way. Perhaps it would be wise to have a look at the gate. To the west and east is the Avenue of the Decayed. A small side street heads south.
This is a small alley off the decaying avenue. To the west is a rather well kept iron door. The door is part of a rather large building. It is quite tall, having two floors. A sign hangs over your head. To the south is the remainder of the alley. North is a rather large boney gate.
These are the ruins of a rather large inn. The crumbling wooden walls sag under the weight of the place. Bone beams hold up the structure. The place is littered with broken tables, barrels, and other objects commonly found in a tavern. Rotting flesh that never quite goes away also seems to be a common theme here as food is rotting all over the place. A large stairwell heads upward. One can leave through the door west.
In this room is a bed that's been smashed to flinders. A large Sarcophagus rests in the center of the room. It is open. It is plush inside. The wood of the coffin is unblemished. Windows would allow one to see outside in the perpetual night. The walls are bare and the floor sags under the weight of the coffin. A small message has been tacked up against one of the walls.
This is the end of the line. A wrecked and battered building stands to the west. It is completely ruined and the roof is caved in. The cobblestones here are broken and overturned revealing nothing but stone underneath. The remains of a large sign lie smashed to splinters on the ground. Enough of it is visible though to get an idea of what it said.
This seems to be the remains of a hospice. Large beds lie out all over the floor. The beds are in various states of disrepair. Many of them are broken in half, others are just so weak that the slightest touch would send them crashing to the ground. A wooden door provides egress from this building.
Two large stone structures dominate this section of the avenue. To the north is a house built entirely of Bone, while to the south is one built entirely of stone. The northern building is in excellent condition, while the southern one is crumbling. The avenue continues east and west. Two signs, a large one and a small one are attached to the north and south buildings respectively.
This is a small building made up of broken bits of crushed bone. The bonemeal dwelling seems to be unusually tidy. A neat little counter made of glassteel seems to dominate the room. Inside appear to be several gems. The walls here have no windows and the place seems to be waiting for a new owner. A large, diamond flecked wheel behind the counter seems to be a tool for cutting gemstones. There is obviously much to look at in this room.
The walls here are crumbling and this place hasn't seen much use at all. A cold dead forge sits in one corner of the room, its furnaces having been unlit for centuries. Broken wooden tables and rusted iron tools line the sides of the building. The foundry contains naught but ashes. A wooden door leads north to the street.
This is a bend in the road. To the east extends a cobblestone road. A large bone wall blocks passage north, and the sheer canyon wall blocks the way west. Apparently there has been some catastrophe because a large tree has fallen onto the large shop to the south. One can enter what is left of the place.
A rather large and very much dead Oak tree has crashed down here blocking the way south. It looks like it once held some sort of significance as there are some engravings near the trunk. The only way to leave is to the north.
A rather large and very much dead Oak tree has crashed down here blocking the way north. It looks like it once held some sort of significance as there are some intricate carvings near the trunk. The tree is rotted through and through. The tree appears to have fallen on a large shop, but this half of the shop is blocked by the tree.
The cracked and broken street here turns. To the north an extremely large tree has fallen down. To the east the cobblestone path continues. The cobblestones are messed up and broken. Battered, and ruined.
This is a large cobblestone street nestled between buildings. The cobblestones are cracked and broken as if something large fell down and shocked the place. There are cracked and broken buildings everywhere, but none of the ones nearby are even remotely safe to enter. The stony path heads west and east.
The skeletal hand suddenly reaches up and snatches you. Bones begin to pierce your vital organs. Your equipment is crushed and broken. As you become one with the wall you realize it was foolish to think that one could pass by Orcus's defenses so easily...
You are Dead. Your Equipment is Smashed and Broken.
Orcus is Laughing in your face. Or what's left of it...
A large gate made entirely of bones lies to the south. The gate seems to pulse and shift. To the north winds a path up through a mountain. The path is smooth and is obviously well traveled.
This is the western edge of a rather large bridge. Thin strands of some strange substance keep the bridge together. It appears that bones have been woven together to suspend the thing. Below is a very deep, very dark, very scary looking, apparently bottomless sheer drop. To the south is a trail winding down to what looks like some sort of city.
Two large towers stand here holding up the suspension bridge. The bridge would be quite a work of architecture if it wasn't so disturbing. The towers are made of some sort of interlocking bones, uniformly rising up, and topped with a grinning skull. Steps, also made of bones, can be found climbing to the tops of the towers, though the view doesn't change much from there. There aren't too many holes in the bridge, and the ground itself is quite smooth. The drop below appears to be quite bottomless. One can exit the massive structure to the east and west.
This is the eastern edge of a large, deep, scary-looking pit. A large suspension bridge made completely of bone lies to the west. Above, bright stars light the night sky. A stone path winds its way up to the north. Sometimes one can hear an occasional scratching sound.
This spiraling path heads upwards to the north and downwards to the south. The trail is clean and well used. Other than the rocks, there doesn't seem to be much here. The night sky lights the place faintly.
An immense statue is here looking over the pathway. It is quite impressive and is about the size of a Titan. The stone trail winding its way up this mountain lies west and south. In the sky above, stars twinkle and glimmer. The area seems to be quite peaceful, although a bitingly cold wind makes it uncomfortable to remain.
A large gate bars the way north. It appears to be made of steel. The gate is quite large and imposing. Through the gate to the north is what appears to be a skull of gargantuan proportions. It is easily as large as the Dark Castle of Khmer in terms of sheer size.
A large stone drawbridge is here. It is lowered, and extends from the mouth of an enormous skull. The stone drawbridge looks like it can be raised in times of strife, although it would appear to be foolish to attack this place. From the eye-sockets above are a series of threatening ballistae. Luckily, they do not appear to be manned at the moment. A steel gate is to the south, and one can enter the skull to the north.
This grand hallway comes from the south where a large drawbridge crosses over what looks like a bottomless pit. Above, below, and all around appear to be crushed bones. The bones form the mortar of this place. The hallway continues north. It is extremely dark here. An occasional sound echoes throughout the halls, and although the castle seems to have its normal share of castle sounds...speech apparently is non-existent.
This appears to be a room used to guard the main entrance of the castle. Arrow slits and murder holes are above and to the side. It would be perhaps best to not dawdle here as one never knows when one might get murdered in the dark. There are exits to the north and south.
This is a corridor in the great skull castle. It is a simple thing really. A T Junction, sloping oddly up both to the west and to the east. To the south is an extremely dangerous looking spot, but you'd have to get closer to get a better look. It is dark here and nothing is lighting the place. Strange sounds come from elsewhere, but not here.
The corridor here is large, yet shows little evidence of any activity. Ridges are cut into the wall here for some unusual purpose. The floor and walls are all made of the same "cement" that makes up this skeletal palace. The corridor continues east and west.
This is an L-Shaped corridor. The corridor extends to the north and to the east. To the west is a door. It is made of some sort of metal, mithril, or perhaps some other silvery metal. It is bare save for an arcane symbol imprinted upon the center of the door.
This room is empty. It contains nothing but bare walls, floor, and ceiling. The only thing of any real interest here is the door to the east, and a slight depression in the ground. Otherwise it contains not a thing.
This is a bare bonemeal hall. The floor is worn smooth from the eternity of treading that has been going on here over the eons. Things appear to be exactly as they seem in this realm. Although it is dark, really really dark.
The hall bends here heading east and south respectively into a not so comforting darkness. To the north is a door. It is composed of some sort of silvery metal, but whether or not it is mithril has yet to be determined. It is bare, save for a handle, and an arcane symbol embedded upon the center of the door.
The corridor here is unremarkable, if not large. Several large and small ridges line the walls here, almost like the inside of a ribcage. It is a curious sight. To the east and west the passage continues, although there is a slight downward slope to the east.
There is a massive door to the north. It looks like it was cut from solid bone. The door appears to be made of one single piece. To the south is a large gate. The gate is made of metal, and one can see a courtyard through the bars. The passageway heads both east and west.
This is an immense courtyard which is exposed to the upper sky through what must be a shaft in the mountain. Above, stars twinkle and glow, casting their light minutely over the ground like a sea of candles with neverending wicks. Various statues line the circular enclosure. Although they are decaying, the moonlight above hides whatever deformity the statues may have. Between each statue is a large cylindrical column inscribed with runes. In the center of this enclosure is a circular depression. The depression is as of something large had been lying there for a long time. Whatever it is or was would have been very, VERY large indeed.
This is a simple hallway. It is made from the crushed bonemeal that makes up the mortar of this horrid place. Sound carries fairly well here, one can hear movement, but no speech. The hallway continues to the west and east.
This is a bend in the hallway. The hall heads west and south. Of interest is a door made of mithril, or some other silvery metal. The door is to the east, and there is a large, arcane symbol inscribed in the center of it.
This is a bare corridor made of bonemeal. It heads north and south. Every now and again strange sounds can be heard. Many of them are recognizable as walking or traveling. Others are clearly not. There is nothing to suggest speech.
The hallway heads to the north and west. To the south there is a door. The silvery door, perhaps made of mithril, has an impressive-looking arcane symbol inscribed in the center. Other than the handle, the door has little else.
This room is empty. It contains nothing but bare walls, floor, and ceiling. The only thing of any real interest here is the door to the north, and a slight depression in the ground. Otherwise it contains not a thing.
Long ridges are cut into the walls here. What purpose they serve remains a mystery. To the east one can just make out a bend in the corridor, while to the west lies an entryway.
This room is empty. It contains nothing but bare walls, floor, and ceiling. The only thing of any real interest here is the door to the south, and a slight depression in the ground. Otherwise it contains not a thing.
This room is empty. It contains nothing but bare walls, floor, and ceiling. The only thing of any real interest here is the door to the west, and a slight depression in the ground. Otherwise it contains not a thing.
The corridor of the castle is inscribed with all kinds of evil-looking runes. They cover both the floor and the ceiling in odd patterns. Some of them glow, and this room, unlike many of the ones about the castle, isn't dark. A large door made completely of bone lies to the south, and to the north there is more passageway.
This is a wide corridor flanked by two doors. The first and more imposing one lies to the south, and is made up of bones. To the north is another, more normal-looking and less imposing door. It is made of bone also, but has the symbol of a solid gold handle on it. A large passage heads east and west.
The sight of this place is truly disturbing to see, even to the most sadistic or psychotic individual. There are more than a few ghastly paintings, a couple of horrid statues, and the ceiling is covered with an enormous, monstrous fresco. The room is lit with a flickering will-o-the-wisp object in the center of the room. The wisp pulses bright lights fairly rapidly, making the sight blink in and out. The room also contains many tables upon which are bits of decayed or decaying fruits, breads, and cheeses. Although all of the art objects can be looked at more closely, the masterpiece appears to be what is on a large black pedestal.
This is a passageway heading east and west. The walls and ceiling are grey and made of the same strangely organic material that makes up the majority of this place. The walls and ceiling are very regular with perfect dimensions, there is little evidence of dust or dirt. Slime, however, can be found in various places along the corridor.
This passageway bends to the north and east here. The passage is level and neat, bits of slime cover the floor, making the ground a little bit slippery to walk on. Strange sconces line the walls here. They light the corridor dimly.
This is a long passageway heading north and south. The boney walls are covered here with two things. Bits of slime cover the floor in places providing a rather foul and slightly nauseating odor. On the walls, a series of sconces provide a little bit of ambient light.
This is the end of a corridor. There is a passageway sloping downward to the west, and a bare bone wall to the east. On the walls to the north and south are unmarked save for the slime which drips from the walls here.
This corridor heads east and south. It has wall sconces along both walls. These sconces provide a light that twinkles softly and ominously. Every now and again a squishing sound can be heard. Slime covers the ground and nearby walls.
This is an intersection of passageways. To the east and west runs a corridor with wall sconces lighting the way. To the south is a door. Looking north, one can see a dark passageway and perhaps maybe a staircase. It is difficult to see. The walls here are covered with a slimy substance.
This room is immaculate. A door to the north leads out into a slime covered hallway. The walls and ceiling are bare, and free of dust and debris. The room is lit with a fairly large candle which burns softly at the front of a large table in the center of the room. On the table is a set of strange looking instruments. The single chair is seated at the table.
This is a dimly lit corridor. The walls are clean except for a slimy substance that covers most of the floor and creeps up a little bit on the walls. The passage heads east and west.
The corridor bends and meanders here making a sharp turn. Slime covers the floor and lower wall. Higher up on the walls are a series of wall sconces which provide an eerie, blue dim light that casts a set of dark shadows across the ground. The passage heads west and south.
This dimly lit passage is lit dimly with blue lights from various sconces which stick out from the walls. The ground is covered with a nasty green slime. The passage heads north and east.
The slime filled passage here bends sharply. The wall sconces provide a blue light which accents a door in the northern wall nicely. The door is unremarkable, and unmarked save for a brass handle. The passage heads south and east.
Unlike the passage to the south, this room is clean, dry, free of the green slime. Two candelabrae stand on either side of a large stone sarcophagus. They appear to be lit by candles which seem to be of the everburning variety. Inscribed on the walls are various runes and symbols.
This bending hallway is covered in green slime. It looks more than a little bit nasty, and smells bad too. The passage bends here and heads both north and west.
This is a green and grey hallway. Green, from the slime and ichor which covers the floor here, and grey from the dull bonelike walls. The passage heads east and west and is dimly lit with wall sconces.
A large, imposing, bone covered door bars the entrance to the inner keep. It appears to be quite strong. The room itself is fairly wide and like the rest of the keep is large enough for a giant or several to walk through comfortably. The floor here is made of bone, and has ridges cut into it. The walls are bare. To the south is an evil-looking rune covered hallway.
This is a small circular room containing a rather bizarre object. In the center of the room is a raised dais with a large book on top. Hanging from the ceiling is a large rope going up through the ceiling. Other than the book there appears to be little else of interest. The room is immaculately clean as if the place has been sealed. Perhaps that book contains some sort of arcane knowledge.
This is a majestic staircase. It has a boney rail and a tattered rug winds its way up to the top. It also descends into darkness below. Along the north wall is a large rotting tapestry. The stairs seem well used, but it is difficult to say due to the amount of decay that abounds the place.
This is the top of a marble staircase with a bone rail which spirals its way down. It meets up here at a corridor lit with green orbs which line the walls. The passage heads east and west. The passages here are clean and bone dry.
This is a corridor in the palace. Green orbs light the hallway at set intervals providing a glow and casting ugly shadows across the wall. The passage heads both east and west. A ceiling and a floor block the way up and down.
The corridor turns here. Green orbs cover the wall at set distances providing an eerie green glow. The walls and floor and ceiling are completely smooth, although they are obviously made of the same bone-like cement that makes up this castle.
There is a large door to the east. It is most undoubtably an entrance of some sort, or an exit. Other than the obvious, there is little here. The western wall has a series of green orbs, and the passage heads north and south.
The corridor of green shadows bends here heading both north and east. The corridor is perfectly flat and the walls are featureless except for green orbs which occur at regular intervals and give off no heat.
The plain green walls of the corridor are broken by a small entryway to the south to a large balcony. The passage continues to the east and west, broken only by the occasional scuffling sound, and the green orbs which provide light in these dark environs.
The unremarkable corridor lined with green orbs forms an intersection here. To the north is what appears to be a stairwell. East and west of here is more of the corridor. Eerie shadows are cast along the walls. The sounds of stomping are nearby.
This is a green corridor. Glowing orbs along the walls light the way. To the south is a large landing. The walls of the corridor are neat and clean. To the east and west the passage continues. Sometimes strange sounds come from the south.
This corridor bends here heading north and west into more of the same corridor. The passage here has large smooth walls on all sides. Green, dimly glowing orbs are placed at various intervals along the hall.
This isn't really an intersection as there is a large door with a circular window in the top. The corridor is bathed in a green glow from orbs mounted at regular intervals along the wall. The passage heads north and south.
This is a left or right hand turn depending upon from which direction one comes. The corridor is clean and free from dust or debris of any kind. This passageway is lit by orbs on the wall which glow green and cast eerie shadows.
This is a corridor made out of the same bone-like material that the rest of the place is made of, except it's been smoothed by something. A metal door lies to the south. The door is smooth and unmarked save for a knob by which it can be opened. The corridor heads east and west.
This is a huge stairwell spiraling downwards. Below, one can see an enormous horde of undead. There must easily be ten million zombies, skeletons, ghouls and other mindless undead. To travel downward any further would end in certain death as no one person or small group could take down an army of that size. Regardless of the magical or mystical properties they possessed. There is a large hole above, but the grating can only be opened and shut from one side.
This is a large balcony. On the platform is an eerie looking machine. It looks extremely nasty, and some large part of it is sticking upwards. The view here is quite spectacular and one can see a great distance in the crisp, cool, night air.
A majestic view sprawls out from this balcony. This appears to be the left eye of the skull. A large railing surrounds the landing. Sitting, or rather mounted on the landing is some sort of extremely deadly looking instrument. The only exit from this balcony is north.
This is the inside of a large machine. The machine insides are quite large. To the north is a large chair which sits upon a slightly raised pedestal. In front of the chair is a small raised table. The table is very strange, with many levers and cranks embedded upon its surface. In front of the table is a rather large window. The remainder of the space has many chairs, maybe about 20 of them in all somehow attached to the floor.
This is an immense horde of beings. Over ten million skeletons, zombies and other mindless undead are in this area. They appear to be entering a large rift that has formed here. The rift itself leads only to more blackness. One can only guess where this fell army is headed but it would be certain death to be viewing this room directly, as the undead have an innate sense of where life may exist and only "live" to snuff it out. There is a large passageway to the west, but it appears to be inaccessible, as the army would certainly destroy anyone who did not view from a distance.
A large stairway is here. The steps are broad and tall making travel a little bit difficult for those of human size or smaller climbing it. The stairwell is made of black obsidian and an unmarred carpet lines the center of it. Along the wall of the stairwell is a large painting.
This room is immaculate. There is a rather large bed here which could sleep a giant. Several cookbooks line the walls along with a few bizarre cooking tools. Of interest is a selection of large white hats. They appear to be the only clothing article that is contained within this room.
Large papers are scattered around the room in a seemingly random pattern. They contain partially or almost completely written messages. A large table sits in the center of the room. The table has many more papers, plus an inkwell and several quills. It appears to be someone's unfortunate job to write here. One message, which sits alone on the desk, deserves further investigation.
This is a large kitchen. There are many stoves set around the room as well as a large oven. It is immaculately clean and although there's obviously something cooking in a large pot, nothing is going over the sides. On the left hand wall is a very large box which appears to be bolted into it. There are two exits, both of them with flimsy doors.
The washing room is a large room filled with many sinks. The sinks are a container for a large waterfall which falls from a hole in the ceiling. Pipes take the waste away. The dishes and other utensils are placed neatly away. Everything is in its proper place. The room is lit by a large continual light sphere mounted in the ceiling. To the north is a large room probably used for storage. The main kitchen is to the west.
Woah. This place smells awful in stark contrast to the room to the south. No attempt has been made to cover up the foul stench coming from the corpses which are rotting here. Each of the cadavers are suspended from a large hook, which is impaled into the back of the poor sod. Exits to this gross room can be found to the north and south.
This is a large cage. There is a trough that looks like it contains bits of decayed or decaying food mixed with extremely grimy water which also serves as a waste receptacle. The room contains nothing but straw and a dumb waiter which enters a large deep pit.
These halls are huge. Really. The halls are large enough to contain an entire army of some sort. They stretch in all directions. The ceilings in the hall are domed, yet plain. Once a spiral stairwell winds its way up from the floor of the hall to a small hole in the ceiling.
There is a sad looking statue here. It appears to be a human sitting down on a rock weeping. The statue sticks out from the wall and only the front of it can be seen. To the east is a large passage that can hold the army of Darkness. It appears to be the only exit.
This is the path of sorrows. It is blue here. The walls literally pulse with the light. A stairwell heads down from here to a darker room. There is a statue blocking the way east.
This is an immense corridor. The grey walls here do not show its true hugeness. A large, no a monstrous pit is here. It is currently covered by a circular grating. The grating is large enough to let in several dragons. A winch is sitting in one corner of the room. The corridor heads to the west.
This large corridor narrows to the south. The walls are decorated with large mounted paintings. To the north is a four way crossing, the corridor continues to the south. It is very dark here.
This is the end of the passage here. A huge iron door bars the way to the south. It is made of cast iron. It doesn't have any hinges on it. The corridor here is quite large and could easily hold many people. To the north it continues.
This is an opulent chamber. It contains a large library full of books, scrolls, and other arcane tomes. There are several tables and more than a few beds, which seems rather odd. A large chandelier made of crystal hangs from the ceiling illuminating the room. There are several pieces of furniture here. A large cabinet, with a glass front, sits on one side of the room. A large painting hangs on one wall and another similar one hangs on the opposite. The floor is made of alternating black and white tiles. On one of the tables there appears to be a large journal.
This is just one small part of an enormous room that makes up some barracks. These barracks are different than many. They don't contain anything to entertain or accommodate the soldiers. This is probably because the soldiers don't need entertainment, sleep, or food. What is in the room, however, are small man-sized holes within the ground. Perhaps this is where the unholy legion lies in wait to be called. The barracks continue to the east, north, and west. To the south lies an intersection.
This is the center of an extremely large room. Many holes have been cut into the stone surface here, as everywhere. Four paths run along the ground and provide footing if it's needed. One hole in the center of the room is quite large. Perhaps it contains something sinister. The barracks continue in every direction except up.
This is an awesome display. A room so large that the far walls aren't even visible from this distance. What is visible is an infinite number of small holes. The holes are small in proportion to the room but they are man sized and spaced extremely close together. They are mostly empty in all probability.
What is visible here is a plentitude of holes. Each one capable of holding a man-sized creature. The holes go right up to the wall and seem to be the only feature of this large room. The western wall and floor are made up of a smooth grey material that isn't quite stone, but isn't anything else either. One can travel north, south, and east.
This is the south-east corner of the unholy barracks. There are at least a thousand man-sized craters in the floor here. They are resting places for the unholy army. Fortunately the army isn't in. One can exit to the north and west where there are more holes. There is a door in the eastern wall. It is small relative to the sheer size of this room.
Thousands and thousands of holes cover the entire floor from the eastern wall to as far as the eye can see. The holes are man sized and normally hold the Army of Darkness. Fortunately the army isn't in or you would have a most unwelcome and very serious fight on your hands.
The near infinite amount of holes are the main feature of this enormous area. They cover the ground, a stone coffin for each individual soldier. There are large walls to the north and east. The barracks extend in all directions. A door has been cut into the wall to the north. It appears to be made of some silvery metal and is quite large.
This is a hole. There doesn't appear to be any way out of the hole except by flying. The walls are sheer and would be difficult to climb. The top of the hole is upwards. Perhaps the bottom can be reached by continuing to descend.
Holes. Thousands of holes cover the ground here. Each large enough for a man-sized person to stand within. The holes are empty now. It would be very scary indeed if the horde was actually here. This is the northern edge of the barracks. Exits can be found in all other directions.
Holes can be found in all directions and everywhere to the south and east. It is funny that the ceiling is so high, because the holes are containers for mere man-sized creatures. Perhaps something sinister is in here. A door is cut into the western wall.
This is the bottom of the hole. The walls here are smooth, unmarked, and coated with a smooth and hard substance. Other than that the place is decimated. Several pieces of furniture have been reduced to broken pieces and cinders. They only undisturbed thing is a small bed which looks like it's been slept in recently. Plates and broken dishes have been scattered and broken. Bits of food lay rotting in the corners. Something has been living here.
This is a dark and mysterious chamber. It contains nothing except a grey stone slab. This room is much much smaller than the adjoining one. The slab is raised 2 feet off of the ground. A door with a knob provides egress from this small room.
This room is dark. Well, it's tough to tell whether it's a room or not. It appears to stretch off infinitely in all directions. Except it's obvious there is a floor, ceiling, and walls. It is a very excellent optical illusion. The field of stars which lights the place also helps create the illusion of infinite space. The door, when opened, ruins the effect.
This empty room is fairly spartan. It contains little except a chair, table, and bookcase. The table has a few interesting pieces on it. The room is lit from a continual light orb which has a hood which can be pulled to cover it. The chair is well worn as if someone had sat in it for a very long, long time. The only exit is to the east through the door.
This is a passageway. The corridor heads east into an immense chamber. To the east one can see the Army of Darkness which is an enormous horde of undead. There must easily be ten million zombies, skeletons, ghouls and other mindless undead. To travel east any further would end in certain death as no one person or small group could take down an army of that size. Regardless of the magical or mystical properties they possessed.
One shudders to think what would be in such a place. The oubliette is a place one puts someone to forget about them. It is scary to think what might be in a place that the undead wish to forget about. The entrance is nothing more than a large iron door. Above, a small staircase heads to a different part of the castle.
This is a stairwell heading upwards. It appears to have been used very little. It is, however, very wide - as is this room and many beings could come down it. The passage ends here but one can travel to the east if one desires.
There is a huge spiral stairway to the east, but it appears to be inaccessible, as the army would certainly destroy anyone who did not view from a distance.
This is a dark place. The walls here are made of old stone that looks like it's been cut into the mountain itself. The passages are damp with moisture and the small corridor is a little bit cold. It doesn't look like anyone has been here in a very long time. There is an iron door to the east. A staircase heads down into the depths.
This is a passage in the prison. The walls and ceiling are damp with wetness. There is no movement of air though it is perfectly still. There is a broken stairwell heading upwards. The passage continues to the west.
There are a set of normal looking cells to the north and south. Two doors flank the corridor, one stone to the north, and one south made of a rusty iron. The doors look extremely old. Both doors have a small window with bars on it. The passage continues to the east and west. The passage itself is dark and wet. It doesn't look like things have passed through here in quite some time.
Cells appeared to line both doors, except that the southern cell is little more than a pile of collapsed stone. Whatever was in there tore the place apart. To the north is a cell much like the other ones in that it doesn't look very strong. The passage continues to the west and east.
This empty cell is bare of everything save for a large bench and some markings on the wall. The floor is stripped bare and reeks of excrement and filth. A small grating in the floor carries off some of the foul excrement, but not nearly all. Several piles of bones are on the floor here.
This bare stone room has water dripping from the ceiling constantly. It falls through a small grating in the floor. In the center of the room is a large chair. It sits alone, sitting toward the door. The cell is without window. The only means of egress is through the door to the north.
This is a corridor with a large gate at the end of it, beyond which is a deep, all encompassing blackness. The corridor is wide and arcane symbols adorn the walls pulsing with an unholy radiance. The corridor itself emits a hum as if it doesn't want to be touching or in contact with whatever is beyond that gateway. Other than the runes which adorn the floor, ceiling and walls, there is nothing. The corridor continues to the east.
This is a large room. It is empty. A large stove is here as well as a few sinks and many cabinets. All of them seem to be lacking one essential thing. Food. Everything is bare. There is a table with a nice place setting and two chairs surrounding it. It is a very strange cell indeed. The only exit is the one to the south.
This is the end of the hallway. There is a stairwell headed down still deeper into the depths. The walls here are covered with a slick covering of water. The air is quite chilly and breath condenses almost immediately. The passage heads east and down.
This is the end of a hallway. Steps lead up from here to a small landing above. The hallway is wet. Torches are along the sides of the hall which provide some light. The hall continues to the south.
This is a stone hallway. It is unremarkable. The ceiling is fairly high above, but not overly high. A couple of torches along the western wall provide light. To the east is a door. It has a set of iron bars set in the windows. The passageway continues to the south and to the north is a staircase.
This is a torch ensconced passage. The walls here are wet. The air seems damp. The torches are on the walls at regular intervals. The corridor is cut neatly and can hold many persons. To the south and north the corridor continues.
This is a torch covered passage. The walls and ceiling occasionally drip with water. A large door is to the west with a strange symbol cut into it. The passage bends here and continues to the north and east. An odious smell comes from the west.
This passage makes a turn here. Torches cover the walls at various distances. The walls are damp and the passage is very chilly. The passage extends to the west and south.
This is a dull stone passageway lit by torches on both sides of it the passage is well traveled and bits of the wall have eroded away a bit. Water has condensed along the walls here. The passage heads north and south. There is a large door cut into the wall to the east. It has a small barred window and a symbol that is protruding from the door.
This is the end of a passageway. To the west there is a large rune-encrusted door. The door itself is made of solid adamantite. Surrounding the door is a large bubble of magic energy. The bubble resists all attempts to move it and it cannot be dispelled. To the north is a dark corridor.
This is a small room on the edge of a monstrous stairwell to the north. The room is unadorned save for a large painting on the western wall. It is the only adornment in this room. The stairwell is to the north, and a large rune-encrusted door covered with magical writing lies to the east.
This is the top of an immense staircase. Its bottom isn't even remotely visible. The chamber is circular and the stairs spiral downward slowly along the walls. Each individual stair is supported from below by a stone beam connecting it to the wall. These stairs are immaculately clean and haven't been used in quite some time. There is an exit to the south to a small chamber, and the stairs continue downward.
This is a stairwell that spirals down through this dark shaft. The top of the staircase as well as the bottom aren't visible in the blackness. The stairs are made of cold grey stone and are polished. They show no sign of any sort of decay. The stairwell continues in both directions.
As far as the eye can see there is nothing but stairs, both up and down spiraling for at least a mile in each direction. This is truly a magnificent edifice. The sheer number of steps alone could wear a man out.
This is a place devoted to the study and practice of torture. This bit of the hallway features a rack. It is strange in that it is adjustable in all directions. Along the walls are many sharp objects probably used for poking or prodding. The passage heads east and a door lies to the west.
This looks like an embalming chamber. There are several foul-smelling vats in the center of the room. Wrapping of some sort is on a big roll along one wall. In the center of the room is a large slab made of obsidian. It has a slight depression in the center so the body doesn't move. A passage is to the north.
The hall itself here pulses with a red, then a green light. The stones themselves glow. There is a loud "THRUM" every time the light sequence changes. The changes occur every few seconds for no discernable reason. The passage ends here at a door. It continues to the east.
This is a torture chamber in the truest sense of the word. This area contains all those instruments of pain that men and demons both fear. There is a tub full of holy water, a vat full of acid. Iron maidens and racks. There are branding irons, devices for poking eyes out. Things designed to keep things alive. Machines whose uses seem to be lost. This is a huge collection of pain giving devices. To the north is a sealed door. It is completely black. The chamber continues to the east and south and west.
This room is eerie. It contains nothing but a large table. Large chains are on the table which can be used to hold down victims. The ceiling has a ray of sunlight which is striking a mirror so the beam hits the area just above the table. The mirror is adjusted with a handle and it looks like it can be turned to move the mirror such that the beam hits the table.
This room holds a large tank full of tepid water. A large lever is sitting by the side of the tank. It is currently raised. One end is attached to a large chain used to lower the lever. The other has straps and chains used to secure the victim under water. Aside from these pleasantries the room is bare.
This tank is by no means small. It is as large as a small lake. The floor of the tank is covered with stone. Stone walls hold the water and prevent it from escaping. The bones of many creatures litter the floor of the tank. One wonders what has killed all of these creatures.
This is the place where the torturers hang out. The room has a large table. Four stone obelisks stand in each corner. They almost seem to resemble coffins. To the west is the main torture area, while a large, impressive looking door lies to the north barring entrance.
This posh chamber seems to be elegantly decorated. Large, plush couches adorn the wall. A finely woven rug is here lying on the floor. There is an elegant chandelier hanging from the ceiling which provides an eerie blue glow to the place. The western wall has a large painting on display while the northern and eastern walls appear to be bare. A large tome lies sitting on a nearby table.
This is a rather odd collection of tidbits and paraphernalia. The room is a mess, yet has a bit of order to it. Nothing is covering anything else. There are several pieces of art, a strange glowing book, and a display case that seem to stand out among the junk. The room is dark and there doesn't appear to be an exit other than the switch used to open this place. There is a switch on the left hand wall.
This is a corridor. It is lit here with torches along the wall. A strange vapor is in the air. It positively reeks. It is extremely foul smelling and one would hope one wouldn't have to spend too long here. There is a door to the east, and the passage heads down to the west.
This intersection smells. Two vapors, a blue from the north, and a yellow from the south combine here to form a hideous green vapor. It really, really stinks. To the west is a large unadorned wooden door. A passage continues to the east.
This chamber is filled with vats of foul smelling stuff and a large sealed jar. In the jar are an enormous number of what looks like maggots. They writhe around. It is fortunate that they are contained as they seem to sense your presence. There is a passage to the south.
Woah this huge room has a huge variety of things. All of the objects here are used in some way, shape, or form to make undead. Much of it doesn't look like it's been used in quite some time. The instruments are all evil-looking and perhaps shouldn't be messed with.
A large desk is here. It has many scrolls upon it. The desk itself is cluttered and doesn't appear to have any organization to it whatsoever. The desk appears designed for a human-sized individual. There are a few writing quills on the desk, but nothing as interesting as the scrolls. To the north and west is the rest of the room.
This is odd. There is a large loom here. Wrapped around the spinner are strings of a jet black substance. The substance is very cold, very strong, and very unpleasant to the touch. The loom has three large suckers placed upwards on the bottom of the chair. Straps can be used to hold down the one using it.
Dominating this corner of the room is a huge black device. At the top of the device is a large piece of pulsing black energy from the negative material plane. It sits there quietly. Below the energy is a cage with a door. Whatever poor thing they throw in there would quickly be drained of all life in a very unpleasant way.
This is a pulsing corridor. The walls themselves pulse and glow on and off with a green, then a red light. To the north is a fog filled room. The fog is so thick that one cannot see into it. The room could be very large or very small, one just can't tell from here. The corridor continues to the east and west.
There is a large wall of fog covering the entire south wall. The room here is brightly lit. It contains all the necessities of living. A large trough has food in it, a spigot can deliver water, and a small stream carries waste away. The place is quite large and could easily hold many many people. Claw marks are on the ground as if something landed hard.
This is a pulsing hallway. The stones pulse and glow with color often emitting a loud "thrum" as the color changes. To the north is a dark, black room. The pulsing lights which spray out his a dark wall of complete blackness. This obscures any vision. To the east and west the hall continues.
This is a spherical room. The floor is rounded as are the walls and ceiling. Along the south wall is a huge wall of darkness. The room doesn't contain much of anything except a few bones.
This large hallway contains nothing. The green and red glow casts dark shadows across the room which are merely reflections of one's body. There is a black door to the east. To the west the pulsing corridor continues.
This chamber is immense. It is quite large and could hold many, many men. Two huge chairs sitting beside a huge table are in the center of the room. There is an enormous bookcase on the wall filled with vast numbers of books. The table has an extremely large magnifying glass attached to it. Sitting on the table is a titan sized book. It looks like it has been well cared for and written in. A gigantic pen lies next to the book. Overhead, a huge orb lights the room fairly brightly. The only exit from this room is through the door to the west.
This is a small stone room at the bottom of a winding staircase. The stairs themselves stretch up a good mile, spiraling up the sides of the walls of this long room. The stairs are attached to the wall somehow and appear to be in great shape. It doesn't look like anyone has been down them in quite some time. There is a plain door to the north.
This is a small hallway. The walls are bare stone just like the floor and ceiling are. The passage is quite dark. To the north the passage opens up into a huge pit. Even from here it looks like a fall into that would be trouble. To the south is a door.
This vortex is at the bottom of the pit. It is a dark black swirling rift. It sucks everything into it annihilating it utterly. The force of its pull is irresistible and thus anything which gets this close to the vortex is destroyed.
This is the middle of a huge pit. The walls are completely smooth and unclimbable both from the force of the suction below, and from the lack of any kind of grip. Below is a swirling vortex. It is pulling everything down toward it. If one were to get closer than this the pull would become irresistible and one would get sucked into it. Above, there is the relative safety of the top of the pit. Perhaps it would be better to head that way.
This is an enormous pit cut into the passageway here. It goes from wall to wall and covers most of the floor. The pit doesn't seem to have a bottom. It would be very bad to not be flying here. To the south is a passage, while a rune covered corridor is to the west.
This is a stone hallway headed east and west. A dull throbbing sound can be heard coming from the west. The runes that have been cut into the walls hum with energy and pulse with light. Sometimes it almost seems like they're trying to tell you something. The corridor of stone rumbles here, as if it is not entirely stable. To the east is an enormous pit that takes up all of the corridor. One had better be flying to get over it.
This stone hallway is covered with pulsing runes. They glow and flicker in the darkness, lighting the way ominously. A dull throbbing sound is also coming from the west. To the east the hallway continues.
This is the heart of evil incarnate. Inky blackness is all that can be seen within. This heart of darkness is a primal, ancient, uncaring evil. One does not survive here for very long at all. Astral escape would be the only recourse of one trapped and escape would have to happen rather quickly indeed. It doesn't take long for an evil as powerful and as dangerous as this to snuff out the life that enters its environs.
This is a small strip of stone only a few persons wide extending into the heart of the Abyss. If it wasn't for the stone, the blackness would swallow up this place. The thin strip of land extends to an evil-looking seal at the end of the strip west of here. The blackness is Evil Incarnate and should not be entered - it is rumored that those who do never return.
This chamber is rather large. It has exits on all sides of it, rather it has one exit on all sides of it. It appears to be a platform. On all sides including upwards is inky blackness that is the incarnate evil of the abyss. It would be very unwise to enter the blackness for it would swallow up forever all who attempt the journey. In the center of the room is a stone chair. It is large, about the size of a half-giant. Whatever was put here wasn't ever meant to be free. The only exit is from the narrow hallway to the east, through the door standing at the edge.
This is a landing. A set of obsidian stairs leads down into darkness. The walls here are made of smooth, mirror-like obsidian. The obsidian lacks chip, dent, or scratch. The shadows it casts are eerie. One can travel down the stairs or to the north.
This is the bottom of a large staircase heading upwards. The stairs, along with the rest of the walls, floor, and ceiling are made of obsidian that has been polished to reflect like a mirror. The steps of the staircase are rather large and imposing. They lead up into darkness.
This is a hallway made of pure obsidian. The floors, ceiling, and walls have been polished to a mirror-like shine. The passage branches here. The obsidian is unmarked by scratch, chip, or dent. This sort of perfection seems out of place. The corridor heads north and south as well.
This is a corridor entirely composed of glassy obsidian. The obsidian walls are polished to a mirrored sheen. They are as dark as they are smooth. Reflections in them are often distorted slightly for some strange reason. The hall continues to the north and to the south.
The obsidian corridor ends here at what appears to be twin stone doors. The eastern door, however, is merely an illusion and is caused by a reflection of the western door. The door to the west is made of stone. There is a large symbol engraved near the top. The passage continues to the south.
This is an enormous library. The stacks go from floor to ceiling and contain scrolls, tomes, treatises, books, and volumes of forgotten lore and arcane knowledge. The ceiling is easily 100 feet up. There doesn't appear to be any way to access the higher shelves except to climb, or fly if one has the ability. There are stacks to the north, west and south, while a door prevents entry to the east. The room is lit magically, although the light is kept dim. It is unnaturally quiet here.
This is a corridor between two huge bookcases which stretch from the floor to the ceiling. The bookcases contain forgotten lore of many kinds and in many forms. Many of the manuscripts are rotting, or are in long dead, untranslatable languages. The corridor heads east and west. It is unnaturally quiet here.
This is the end of a corridor formed by three enormous bookcases. There are three bookcases here, one to the north, west, and south. They are the only things of interest. The bookcases contain books on a variety of arcane subjects. The corridor heads east. It is unnaturally quiet here.
This is a stack of books and tomes stretching from floor to ceiling. The bookcase seems to have been made by some master craftsman as they are perfectly level and perfectly spaced. The spacing is quite wide to accommodate books of all types. The stacks head to the west and the entrance to this place can be found to the south. It is unnaturally quiet here.
This is a corridor formed from two gargantuan bookcases on the north and south walls. They stretch from floor to ceiling dominating the room. The books, manuals, and librams are unadorned and do not appear to radiate magic. The hallway continues to the west and to the east. It is unnaturally quiet here.
This is the northwestern edge of an enormous library stack. Two gargantuan bookcases span the northern and southern walls. They go from floor to ceiling and form a corridor that ends to the west. The bookcases are filled with ancient lore and wisdom. Much of it is useless, although one can sometimes find an odd bit of information if one takes the time to look. The stack continues to the east. It is unnaturally quiet here.
This large room is the edge of a corridor facing to the north, and west. The south and east walls are covered with two huge stacks of books. The books cover a huge variety of topics. There are more books to the west and to the north. It is unnaturally quiet here.
This is a corridor formed by two huge bookcases to the north and south. The bookcases contain volumes, librams, tomes, and all other sorts of books. The knowledge in this library is truly immense. The passage heads east and west. It is unnaturally quiet here.
This large room is covered in books. The books are piled in stacks all throughout the room. A large table is here, also covered in books. The chair behind the table is empty, however. The walls are covered with art, and there is a written message dominating the western wall. Egress from this room can be found in a door to the north.
This area is known as the Vault. It is formed from two towering bookcases to the north and south, coming to many shelves to the west. The bookcases are filled with all sorts of useful and not so useful facts and tidbits. It is unnaturally quiet here.
This is a small landing leading south through a doorway. This huge staircase heads up and down. The walls and steps of the stairs are constructed of a mirrored obsidian. The black glass is as hard as any steel and lacks chips, dents, or scratches.
This is the center of an obsidian hallway. The walls, floor, and ceiling are made of the black material. Light seems to be absorbed by the walls themselves. The obsidian is perfectly smooth and unmarked. The passage heads to the east and to the west. A doorway to the north leads to a stairwell.
This is a dark black hallway made entirely of obsidian. The obsidian is smooth and dark. Sounds here including speech seem muted as if the walls themselves absorb them. A vague smell of decay permeates the area. The corridor heads east and west into darkness.
Believe it or not, dense foliage is here. The dead leaves apparently haven't fallen off these dead trees. One would never think to see an undead tree, but that is exactly what this forest is made from. The trees are in a perpetual state of apparent deadness, yet they grow. Fortunately, they are no more harmful than normal trees. Two paths head through the foliage to the east and west. A large black obsidian wall bars the way north.
This is a bend in a large dark obsidian hall. The obsidian covers the walls and is underfoot. Sounds that occur are muted and silenced quickly. The blackness of the hall absorbs light and keeps things dark, which is what most undead prefer. The passage heads north and east.
This is the center of an obsidian corridor. The hall is black, and absorbs light and mutes sound. There are two doors here, one on the western wall and one on the east. The western door is a strange circular portal and the eastern door is made of polished silver.
This is a chamber with a large bed. The room is plain stone. A large fireplace is in one side of the room. On a nearby nightstand sits a crystalline ball. It has many facets and reflects light which hits it. The bed is a complete mess as if it's been used recently. A large circular portal lies to the east.
This large chamber is very strange. It is a bare room with a bed of spikes on one end, and a large mirror on the other. A rotting mat lies in the center of the room facing the mirror. There is a silver door on the western wall. The room is lit with several candles on each corner of the room. The place is very organized and neat.
This is a black corridor made entirely of glassteel obsidian. The walls are dull and absorb light which contacts them. The corridor heads south and east. A large golden door is to the north. It has a plaque on its surface.
This chamber is in shambles. While once being fine, it has been ruined by repeated attempts to maul it. The room is huge and contains a bed, as well as a chair and desk. Much of it is thoroughly trashed. Whatever lives here must sleep in that bed, for it is covered in filth. The chamber does not have the stink of decay, but stinks of refuse.
This is a jet black obsidian corridor. The obsidian on the walls, floors, and ceiling is unmarked and unmarred. The passage here absorbs ambient light and it is quite dark. The corridor continues to the east and west.
This is the center of a black obsidian corridor. The obsidian is without mark or dent or scratch. The floors are pristine and smooth. The corridor here isn't completely dark, however. A small bit of light can be seen through a transparent door. What looks like moonlight is coming through the door. The corridor heads west and south.
This is a gigantic garden. Unfortunately all of the plants are dead. A huge cracked bone dry fountain lies overgrown with dead vines in the center of the immense dead garden. Trees without leaves or life stand at various places. The lack of wind, however, has kept the garden eerily "pristine" in that the garden appears to have some semblance of life. A transparent door leads out of the garden. The moon appears to shine through the ceiling here.
This is the top of a very large flight of black obsidian stairs. Two large and impressive doors stand along the east and west walls. The first door, on the eastern wall has a large plaque embedded on its center. The western door is made of a silvery metal and inscribed with a large symbol. A huge, majestic passage heads north.
The corridor here is formed from large glassteel obsidian plates. The blackness of the corridor is total. Breaking up the blackness is a large door made of a dull grey metal. A plate is mounted above the grey handle that allows the door to be opened. The corridor of blackness heads north and south.
This is a large chamber. A set of large chairs are on one side of the room, while on the other is a raised platform. The room is immaculately clean and neat. A large chandelier casts light over the entire room, however for some reason, the chandelier casts a more direct light upon the raised platform. The walls opposite are covered with a large curtain. A grey door allows entrance into this place.
This is a jet black hallway which makes a bend here. To the south is a dull grey door. The black corridor absorbs light, which is probably how the denizens of this place like it. The door is grey and is unadorned save for a plate on the front of it. The passage heads west and north.
This is a chamber that reeks of age. Rotting tapestries, corroded and brittle wood, and ancient plates of spoiled food lie scattered about the room. Two large divans sit on the floor. Their surfaces are cut and worms crawl within them. The smell here is just plain noxious in the still air of the room. A dull grey door is to the north.
This is the end of a small corridor. A gigantic door lies to the east. It looks nearly impregnable. It is lacking keyhole or knob or anything else that can be used to open it. The door has a rather large sign on it. A black obsidian corridor heads south into darkness.
This is a vast jungle-like room. The wall to the south makes it very clear that this huge area is indeed contained, although it is still immense. Undead trees make up the majority of the area here. The bark falls off their trunks, but dead leaves still grow from their branches. The garden continues to the east and north. To the west is a dark cave.
This is a bare patch of ground surrounded by decayed trees, vines, and other foliage. The ground here is lacking dead grass, bushes, or anything else. It is just a bare spot of dirt. The place is lit faintly by moonlight which comes from the ceiling. A single tree is in the center of the clearing. There is a passage west where the gardens continue.
This is a deep dark cave. The cave is littered with bones. Bones of all types are on the ground covering the entire stone floor. The floor of the cave has two spaces where the bones are crushed flat as if something had crushed them down. Moonlight can be seen to the east faintly.
This is a small room. A silvery door to the east is the obvious exit from this room. A curtain of energy is barring the way to the south. The curtain ripples with powerful warding magics and it is difficult to even approach the thing. On the northern wall is a very large message which glows.
This room is quite a bit bigger than the one to the north. The room is bare, except for a message on the southern wall that glows with a bright light. To the west there is an impenetrable shroud of energy. The barrier doesn't even remotely look passable.
This is a very large and quite bare stone room. To the south is a glowing door. The door pulses and glows with light. The western wall has a simple message written on it. Perhaps it should be looked at carefully. One can also exit to the east.
This huge room has multiple tables with a myriad of scrolls scattered about them. A large continual light chandelier hangs from the center of this huge room. The western wall is covered with books on magic and strategy. The room also has a small laboratory that looks as if it can be used for alchemy or research. There are several paintings along the sides of the walls. The art in them is best described as strange. A huge glowing door lies to the north and a small passage heads east into a brightly lit room.
This room is little more than a large closet. The most important feature of the room is a large portal. The portal is gigantic. It glows with an insane amount of light. The portal seems to be locked to one particular space. It appears as though it can be entered.
This is a storage area full of wands, staves, rods, swords, axes, librams, and other magical devices of multiple origin. The room is dark and pitch black, save for some of the glowing magical objects. Although there is much here, most of it is unusable or corrupted so badly by the evil of the lich that they simply aren't touchable. There might be a thing or two worth while here though. A door is to the east.
This room is a large entryway. It is lit with a continual light orb hanging from a large chain in the ceiling. A small set of stairs leads upwards through a large stone archway. The floor is carpeted with a red rug with black checkered squares upon its surface, and a large tapestry hangs on the northern wall.
This room contains an enormous table. A jet black candelabra sits on the center of the table. The candles provide an eerie red light to the entire room. Several large chairs are positioned around the table. Diamond and ruby goblets are sitting on the table, and it looks like dinner is about to be served. A large dumb-waiter is in the corner of the room. A stone archway is to the north, and a large jet-black door is to the east.
This chamber contains a huge bed. The bed is absolutely enormous. It is covered with black sheets and black pillows. A large black canopy hangs above it. There are twin candelabrae in each corner, each containing a red candle providing some light. There is a large closet here as well, and a huge black door is to the west.
This huge area is covered with trees. The trees are dead, yet they still have leaves which grow from the branches that they have. The ground is covered with dead grass. A small bush can be seen growing within the foliage here. To the east and south are paths that lead further into the garden. Huge tall obsidian walls block the way north and west.
This is a meeting area. There is a large table and two huge chairs. The area is decorated with skulls which adorn the northern and southern walls at various intervals. To the west is a large door. The door is lacking a handle, keyhole, or any other device that could be used to open it. However, a large bell pull is hanging from a hole in the ceiling nearby. A set of imposing gold embossed double doors lead to the east.
This room is huge. A huge, red carpet rises up a large flight of stairs to a raised dais. Sitting upon the stairs is a gigantic throne covered with red bloodstones. The throne is made of the bones of various creatures and a non-human skull is used as the headpiece. The throne is easily several meters tall and about as wide. Flanking either side of the stairs are a set of jet black columns. The columns do not appear to be supporting anything in particular. Above the throne itself is a huge ceiling with a diamond the size of an elephant that appears to be used as a window. The full moon shines through the diamond sparkling off of its facets. The only apparent exit is a large set of gold embossed double doors to the west.
