This is a small path heading east and west. To the east is a dark and forbidding forest. The leaves overhead cast a dark shadow across the land. The forest is eerily silent. Perhaps something is amiss here.
A path is here winding through an evil-looking forest. The path seems well traveled and yet nothing can be seen on it except dirt. The path heads east and west. The green trees cast a dark shadow over everything.
This is a forest. It is dark and spooky. Strange shadows fall from all sides creating natural darkness. Sunlight does creep in during the day, yet, it is still quite dark. The paths extend in all directions.
This is little more than a small path hacked out of the forest. The woods are dark and ominous. They grow darker still to the south. It appears that at the corners of your vision something moves. One can't be sure of what one sees in these woods.
This forest is known as the Quickwood. It is rumored that a race of extremely fast moving beings live here. They move so fast that they can't even be seen most of the time. Of course this is just a rumor. The forest extends to the south.
This is a small room where the former king of the quicklings' live. A large sign on the wall reads, "Welcomefriends! tothehouseof Tephanis!" Small furniture is in the room including a little fireplace, and a little bed. One can exit the house to the south.
There is a spot of bare ground here. A hole is in the foliage and the sky can be seen quite clearly. Around the clearing is blackened soot and blasted ash. It looks like something extremely hot incinerated something here. Paths extend to the east, north, and south.
This is a turning path through the woods. Ferns and bushes encroach upon the path here. A trail heads south into a large clearing and the path heads east.
A battle of some sort was fought here recently. Blood covers the local foliage here. It appears as if a campfire was set but it has long since been extinguished. A few bodies lie around the site slowly becoming one with the local fauna. A trail heads west entering the forest.
A path heads east and west here through the thick woods. The trees are dark and tall. Plants grow everywhere, many of them choking the lives out of their fellows. Sunlight rarely makes it down to the forest floor.
The forest path ends here at a rather large and impressive-looking tree. From the floor here it looks like the tree extends quite a ways up. The forest here surrounds it and the green foliage obscures the top reaches of the tree. A dark and sinister path heads west through the forest.
A small platform has been built here completely obscured from the ground below. From here one can see a fair ways into the forest. Tiny furniture is up here. Perhaps this place is used by some sort of faerie. A small hidden ladder descends downward.
Hmmmm. This forest path seems to be well traveled. Small holes are in the ground around the path here. They don't seem to contain anything, but they are too small to explore deeply into. There are obvious signs that something inhabits these woods, but what that something is remains a mystery.
There is a large tree to the south. Wooden bars are cut into the side of it forming a cage. The tree extends far overhead and casts a dark shadow over the area. A path through the forest can be seen to the west. If one could open the vine covered cell to the south one could go that way as well.
This is the slave pen where the quicklings keep their slaves. There is next to nothing in the cell. Straw and shavings from the woody interior coat the ground. The inhabitants must have had to live in their own filth because this place reeks. A welcome exit is to the north.
There is a strange path here. The trees here are showing some strange signs. Large holes have been bored into some of them. Many strange types of growth dot the bark of these trees. The path through the forest extends in all directions but east, where the foliage is too thick to pass through.
This is a path through the forest. The dark forest extends in all directions, but the path heads east and west. Something is odd about the trees here but it is difficult to tell what. A large thorny bush lies to the north.
This is a hidden clearing in the woods. It is brightly lit. Strangely, the blight, which has affected many of the trees here, is absent from the forest. Lush green grass grows here, and a small hovel is obviously the home of some creature.
This is the edge of a dark forest. To the east, a faint path can be seen meandering through the foliage. The forest is somewhat dark, and sunlight rarely escapes down to the forest floor. Unlike many forests this one seems to be lacking in any sort of animal life.
This is a dark and spooky forest. Small footprints cover the area here. Tall trees, covered with vines and other growths, grow here. The foliage blankets the floor in shadow. A path heads east into the unknown, and the forest continues to the north and south.
This is a strange and twisted part of the forest. The trees here are covered with a bulbous vine. This vine extends from the base of the trees upwards to the top of the branches. The trees seem to not enjoy this, as many of them have begun to wither.
To the east is a sinister site. Tangled branches and thorns cover the exit in this direction. The branches here are twisted into strange and unnatural forms. A small hole in the vines and creepers allows travel in that direction, although the passage seems to be small. A forested path is to the west.
This is a tunnel formed from vines and such. It is extremely small and narrow. The vines and creepers come together to create this thorny place. Forest can be seen on both sides of this tunnel.
The forest here is strange indeed! The air holds a strange chill that is numbing. A forest path leads west into a thorn-covered, uncomfortable area. The plants in this part of the forest have been altered and twisted from their usual forms.
This is a grove surrounded by twisted, vine-like plants with pointy needles covering them. The plants are sinister. Eyes seem to stare from within the leafy exterior. Whether they are there, and attached to bodies which will do you harm, remains to be seen. A small path heads north and east.
The vines are thick here, yet open up to reveal a small clearing. The trees cast a dark shadow across the ground here. The clearing has a large stump in the center of it. The stump has claw marks and other marks in it as well. Small indentations cover the stump, possibly dagger sized...
Thick vines blanket the forest floor here. The thorn covered things are certainly an annoyance. The vines are twisted and seem unnatural. They cover the nearby trees, completely suffocating them. The trees don't look too good, but seem to be quite sturdy. This forest seems to be devoid of sound.
A strange group of carefully grown trees form a circle here. The trees are all infested with a malignant growth. It appears that the normal oak trees have large boils covering them. When pierced, these boils ooze a dark pus-like sap. Something wicked must be doing this to this forest.
A large tree is here towering above the rest of the forest. It, like many of its fellows, appears to be diseased. The tree is sporting several deep gashes all around its trunk. These gashes head upwards, and it looks like they can be climbed almost like a staircase! The steps are extremely tiny and narrow. The tree is also covered with the usual assortment of the thorn covered vines which seem to be prevalent in the area.
The staircase winds up the trunk here and a large pair of branches extend to the north and south of here. The northern branch wraps around the trunk, while the southern branch extends outward. The trunk here appears strong, yet it is covered with a spiky, unwholesome growth.
The branches extend and branch out. There are small beds lined up here and a small table and dresser as well. The leaves extend and cover the entire area here. The thorny vines which appear everywhere seem to have been cropped here.
This is where the Raiders talk about all the great things they have stolen from nearby towns. There is a chart (perhaps it would be interesting to look at this) on the trunk of the tree here with the names of different quicklings on it, along with how much they have stolen from Daleville. There is a large table carved into the branch here. It rises up like a sick knob. The branch extends southward to the trunk.
This is the entrance to the trunk of the tree. A small staircase heads upwards into darkness. To the west is one of the main branches of the tree. The leaves here provide enough cover that the ground isn't visible from here.
This is a small room made of wood. Sitting in the center is a small oaken throne with skulls for armrests. Strange, ornate carvings can be seen covering the thing. The walls have hideous growths on them that ooze sap. This is an evil place.

You are on a dark road, the road continues to the south. You feel very uncomfortable on this road, as if there was a great evil at its end.
You climb up to a platform hidden in the leaves. You can see a great distance from so high up. To the east you can see the town of Daleville, to the west you see high trees with silky strands between them, to the south all you can see is a dark area, it makes you shiver.
