The tunnel here gets larger as it opens up into the ocean floor. The ocean current flows by swiftly, and there are many lovely fish swimming about. The floor is covered with many kinds of ocean plants and the ocean creatures. The tunnel leads out north into the open ocean.
The ocean floor is covered with many kinds of plants, giving a colorful view of the ocean depths. There is a large kelp bed to the northwest. Off in the distance can be seen shadows of sharks and a cave to the far north. The ocean current here flows in the northern direction and is fairly warm.
The waters here are warm and pleasant. Towards the west can be seen a large kelp bed, which the sea elves cultivate and harvest. Within the flowing kelp can be seen many brightly colored and active sea creatures. Sea horses, crabs, sea anemones, small fish and others. Towards the south is the sea elf town.
Here the water current flows gently in a northern way. The kelp is just barely a few inches high here. The forest of kelp starts off to the west and continues in all directions from there.
The forest of kelp starts here, and goes on as far as the eye can see. The kelp reaches back into the depths of the ocean. The kelp is anywhere from a few inches sticking up out of the sandy bottom to many many feet tall. The trunks of the kelp are from a few inches thick to almost a foot in diameter. The sea elves use the kelp for many things, just a few are food, clothing and fuel. The forest goes to the north and to the east is heading back to the sea elf town.
This is a small open area in the forest bed of kelp, which is used to wrap and stack the harvested kelp. There are a few stacks of kelp which are ready to be taken back to town for processing and there are what appears to be sleds with harnesses for some kind of sea creature for hauling the kelp. The forest continues to the west.
The kelp is very hearty here, due to the water current flow and the nourishment the kelp receives from the sandy soil of the ocean floor. The kelp forest is home to many sea creatures and it provides protection and a feeding ground for the ocean animals. There is a small path going east and west through the kelp.
The forest of kelp is hard to swim through, due to its thickness and abundant growth. The water swirls about the kelp, slightly stirring up the sandy ocean floor. There are many small schools of fish swimming and making homes in the kelp. Mixed in with the kelp are many other sea plants which give nourishment to the ocean life. Movement can be made to the east, west and north of here.
Kelp has grown awful thick and is impassable in any direction except back to the east or by pushing to the north. The kelp has grown and entwined together to form a wall of kelp. Growing out of the wall are pieces of coral, in shades of black and violet. Many small ocean fish and crustaceans live in the kelp and thrive on the coral. There must be a coral reef on the other side of this kelp forest.
After pushing past the forest of kelp, there is still a small bit of the forest here. The open ocean is what lies ahead and off to the north. The ocean depths are blue...so deep dark blue, and just enough light shines down from above to give the ocean just a bit of warmth and life. The kelp forest is back to the south and north is the open sea.
The ocean is a vast scene of calmness and deep waters. The wonders of the ocean await out in the open sea, swimming deeper into the blue depths. The abundance of ocean life in all of its variety and richness is here to explore. North or south are swimmable in the strong ocean currents that exist this deep under the surface.
Lack of any activity draws one's attention to the vast coral reef that is toward the north. There are deeper waters to both the south and west. The ocean current keeps the many schools of fish moving in constant motion. As the sun rises and sets upon the surface, down in the depths time seems to stand still.
The kelp forest is well taken care of and grows in abundance and is very thick and tall. There are small paths cut into the kelp in the north, east, and south directions. The paths look like tunnels cut into the mass of kelp growth. Schools of fish swim and make their homes in the vast kelp forest.
Just more kelp forest, which seems to have no end. As elsewhere the kelp grows strong and healthy getting nourishment from the surrounding ocean water and sandy floor. Many fish and other ocean creatures like to make their homes here. There is a way to move to the north or south from here.
This is the northern end of the kelp. Just a few feet north the kelp ends and the ocean depths can be seen. The forest goes back to the south or east. The ocean current is kinda strong here, making the kelp sway and move as if it had a life of its own.
The current is very strong here, but one can see the wonders of the ocean depths. The water is so blue and there are many sea creatures swimming about. The sandy floor stirs with life, and colorful anemones line the bottom. The current makes swimming in any direction but south impossible.
Here the kelp forest has grown so abundant and tall. There is no end to the kelp. It reaches high upwards towards the surface and sways in the ocean currents. There are so many brightly colored fish that swim about the kelp. There is a way to push through the kelp to the south and also west.
Kelp has grown almost too thick to pass through in this nourishing warm sea water. There is almost no opening in which to pass, but the north seems to be not as thick. With careful movements one can just make way to the north or south.
The forest of kelp is quite large and covers a large part of the ocean floor. There is not much else visible here except for the tall kelp and the small schools of brightly colored fish. There are more tunnels or paths carved into the kelp forest to the north, east and west.
This is the eastern corner of the kelp forest. There is again here a wall of kelp trees. It is so thick and high that it forms an impenetrable wall of blue green kelp. There is a tunnel under the kelp that reaches back to the west and the kelp is a little thinner to the north, allowing one to push through that way. The water is warmer here and swirls stirring up the sandy floor, which clouds the water.
The forest of kelp is really quite thick and sturdy along here to the east. There is a path that looks well used to the north of here and to the west is another path. Here there are so many small brightly colored fish and the sandy floor is crawling with different kinds and sizes of crustaceans and plant life.
A pocket of fresh air hangs down here deep under the ocean floor. It is held here by strong magic and by the will of the sea elf druids. Here is a tree, not like any other tree but a tree made of kelp and coral. The tree is very healthy and thrives here. The variety of fish and plant life is wonderful. The ocean life swims about the trunk getting nourishment. The only exit is to the south.
As one swims deeper out into the open ocean, the water grows a bit colder and it gets a little darker. There are still many schools of fish that swim about but also dark shadows swim deeper down in the depths.
All around is just open ocean, deep dark blue water with just a few rays of light. The ocean goes on in all directions but the swift ocean current only lets one swim to the north into an open coral cavern or to the west deeper into the depths.
Here the ocean current stirs up the sandy ocean floor, moving the sand and small organisms about. There are many small ocean creatures living along the floor: small crabs, sea snails, small baby sharks, and small brightly colored sea plants.
The cave is just a hole dug into the coral, it is a small tunnel really which goes to the south or west. The walls are rough and there are sharp pieces of rock sticking out in many places, making it easy to cut any flesh that touches it.
The ocean here is a bit colder and the current flows swift and smooth. The ocean goes on as far as one can see this deep down, a bit of light does flow through the surface, bringing life to micro organisms that start the cycle of life. There is a cave to the east and more ocean to the north.
Wide, blue, and clear ocean with fish and sea mammals is all that can be seen here. The ocean opens up here and sea life is abundant and thriving. The water swirls about as a cool current of water helps move the jellyfish and other floaters around the ocean. The current allows movement either north or back south.
More of the same clear ocean water. The sea life is beautiful as many schools of fish swim by. Deeper down the outline of large whales can be seen. Ever so often the sounds of the ocean invade the senses but at the same time are soothing.
The deep underwater coral reef begins to expand down into the depths. The coral is very dense and has the deep dark colors of blue, black and a splash of orange. Swimming within the coral reef can be seen many small fish and other ocean life. The reef expands off in all directions.
The reef almost expands deep and wide out into the surrounding ocean. The ocean is dark with just a hint of light, streaking down from the world above. Swimming within the protection of the hard and sharp coral darts many small brightly colored sea creatures.
The black edges of the coral reef expand deep down into the ocean depths. No sunlight gets past the thick curtain of coral. The reef harbors many sea creatures, giving them shelter and food -- and in return the ocean protects the reef.
The coral reef expands also in this direction, growing thick and wide. The reef here is mostly colors of orange with a dash of red. There are many small sea creatures that swim and make homes in the coral.
The ocean current is swift and strong, making the coral sway. The orange and red coral look like flames shooting up off the ocean floor. There is an old sunken ship sticking out from underneath the coral. Oh what treasure might lie within its shell...
The coral is spreading out in a fan like pattern, with all the color mixing and branching together. The current of the ocean is very still and the deep waters are very cold. A few thin rays of light strike the coral ever so often giving the whole bottom an ominous feeling.
A pocket of fresh air is hidden in the darkness of the ocean floor. Almost totally enclosed in coral, it has become the home of this large ray.
Is there no end to the dark rich coral reefs? It grows deeper and further down into the ocean depths. What riches could one make, if this coral could be harvested? The rich deep colors are very valuable. It is known to have mystic powers if used in the correct way. The darkness of the water blends in with the darkness of the coral.
Blackness is about all that is down under the reef, the hard coral softly sways in the ocean current. Its darkness is even hard to see in the cool dark silence of the ocean. Was that movement that was seen just more deeper down, or just the darkness casting even darker shadows?
A dark coral cave hidden again deep under the coral reef. There is a large pocket of fresh air and the cave is just about half water. The cave walls are made of the coral that is all about and around the cave. The coral is mostly black and blue with splashes and strains of orange and red. Scattered within the coral walls are small gems and other treasures that catch the eye. Bits of seaweed and foam float on the water.
This part of the ocean is just brimming with life. The bright coral grows and expands in all directions. Its hard and sharp fans give protection to many sea creatures. Ever so often a little movement reveals another hiding creature.
A large and vast coral reef expands out in all directions, its body made of many kinds and colors of coral. The reef itself gives protection and life to many of the sea creatures that dwell here. The waters here are a nice cool temperature. To the west is what looks like a cavern and to the east is an entrance deep within the coral reef.
The reef thins out a bit here, giving way to the sandy ocean floor. Along the ocean floor there is much life, the sand shifts and floats back down, revealing sea snakes, nurse sharks, crabs, and other ocean bottom dwelling creatures.
A long open tunnel goes deep into the coral reef, leading into a cavern system. The water is a bit warmer here since it is closer to the surface of the ocean. The ocean is lit with lots of sunlight and at night the moonlight. There are many small fish that swim by and ever so often a shark swims out of the depths and back again.
The coral covered tunnel has narrowed down to just a passageway underneath the coral reef. One must be careful when swimming through here, otherwise the coral sticking out will cut. The tunnel has a bit of glowing kelp mixed in with the other plants that seem to thrive here. The coral itself is red, black and a bit of violet. The water is nice and warm and the current is not fast at all.
Here the tunnel opens up into a choice, continue to go north or can also go to the east. There are many pockets of air in this cave system. Some of the rooms may even only be partially underwater. This must mean that these caverns are fairly close to the surface.
Fresh air, there is a few feet between the cave roof and the water. For the most part this cave is almost completely under water. To the north is a higher cavern, where the water does not look as deep. And back to the west is a choice of tunnels. The air is fresh, but there is still an ever-present smell of ocean salt.
The water seems only to be waist high here. This cave must be at a higher level. The walls have a bit of glowing fungus and seaweed. This gives the cavern a strange but nice glow. Still can't escape the smell of the ocean, the sea salt has been washed up along the edges of the water over many years. There is a nice build up which has crystalized along the water's edge.
The water is very shallow as the cavern opens up into a larger area. The walls are covered with a glowing fungus and seaweed grows up from the water's edge. The air is filled with the smell of sea salt and a bit of other ocean smells. Ever so often little droplets of water drop down from the ceiling and splash into the water, which ripples outward.
Hmmmmm, here the water rises again to almost touch the roof. It is still swimmable and permits passage deeper into this small cave system under the coral reef, or maybe even into the middle of the reef.
The water is very shallow, and the cavern walls are almost void of any water. There is just enough moisture to allow a bit of seaweed to grow. Not much else of note here.
Wow, there are many sea plants just thriving here. The walls are covered with brightly colored seaweeds and fungus. The ocean water has left rings upon rings of sea salt along the water line. The mix of sea salts and plants here make this cavern very pretty and so full of color. One does not wish to leave without fully taking in all the wondrous sights this underwater cave has to offer.
There is a small island in the center of this cavern. The water all around the island is very still. The island is the home of a beautiful exotic creature. There is a small hut carved out of bone and seaweed. The island itself is dry and well taken care of. There is a little garden of plants, these plants are of many vibrant colors and draw the eye. A large tree of kelp and seaweed seems to grow up out of the water's edge. A bit of red fruit can be seen hanging from its branches. The whole area is very lovely and serene.
The water level here is about three fourths the way up the cavern walls. All along the top of the sea water floats glowing seaweed bulbs. This is all the light that is needed to see. The cavern walls are still made of much coral and ocean mud. The water is warm and along the walls small crabs, starfish and other such creatures live. The tunnel goes either north or south from here.
The water is swimmable and about 20 feet deep. The cavern walls have a bit of glowing fungus, which gives off the light. The air is fresh and a slight smell of sea salt hangs in the air. There are three choices of directions to go. North, south or west.
A large cavern opens up here, it is almost dry as very little water reaches here. There are signs that something makes this area its home. There are glowing kelp stuck in a few places giving the cave a soft glow. There are some shells stacked neatly in a corner. The cave goes north and there is an exit to the east.
This is another large cavern, almost completely dry. It is obvious that someone or something makes this its home. A sleeping area is in one corner. There is a pile of bones, shells and other sea creature remains stacked in a corner. A few bits of bright coral hang on the cave walls. There is a large giant clam shell stuffed with dried seaweed, looks like a chair of some kind. The owner seems to be neat and tidy if nothing else.
Another pocket of air, deep within the coral reef. There is very little here, except the same fresh sea air and a bit of glowing seaweed along the wall. It gives the whole cavern a nice glow. There are water marks along the edge that suggest that the water level may rise and fall here, maybe even with the flow of the ocean tides.
A long underwater tunnel goes through here, there are no air pockets. The tunnel is alive with plants and small ocean creatures. There are many pieces of coral that stick out of the walls, so careful movement is needed one could rip their skin. The tunnel seems to go on forever, but wait a small glow of light is seen.
Ah even more tunnel, going in an east to west direction. The tunnel is long and swimming is slow. The sights here are wondrous, the small ocean creatures that dwell here are so pretty. There are bottom feeding sharks that are almost hidden along the bottom of the tunnel. A bit of muck is stirred up as one creature chases and eats another.
More tunnel, but this one seems to twist and turn. Deeper and deeper into the coral reef. There seems to be a bit sloping upward as the tunnel curves and starts heading in a northern direction.
Fresh air, a bit stale, and the water level is low enough to permit swimming. The tunnel is dank and cold. The water here is a bit colder than before. There is that same green glowing fungus and a bit of seaweed stuck along the walls. There is seaweed floating here and there along the water's surface.
As the tunnel continues in an east or west direction the water level is really low in this part. The walls of the tunnel are almost void of any moisture and what kelp hangs on the walls is very dry. There is still enough water to allow the sea creatures that live in this cavern to move down the tunnel.
More and even more tunnel, which twists and turns all about until it finally starts going toward the north. There is a small gap of air between the water's surface and the ceiling of the tunnel. The glowing fungus gives just enough light to see ahead and lets one avoid the sharp edges of coral that stick out of the tunnel walls.
The tunnels just about end as the water level gets lower and lower here. It's almost as if the tunnels were going upward as much as they twisted and turned. There is still that strange sea salt smell which is strong here.
The long twisting tunnels have led to this dry open cavern. The water does not rise up into the cave. There is a thick layer of dried salt along the water's edge. There is also that same glowing fungus which grows along the water's edge and not just along the walls. There is a bit of seaweed floating on the water's surface.
How odd, a staircase.. The stairs are very slippery and are covered with a thick, slick, and slimy moss. The water doesn't seem to have been up here for a while, but there must be enough moisture in the air here for the moss to still grow. Maybe there was once a way out of the coral reef that leads down or up these stairs. The only way to find out now isn't there.
The stairs lead to a moss filled tunnel. The tunnel is very dry and the air is somewhat fresh. The moss is a bright shade of green and soft to the touch. Along the tunnel walls grow oddly colored and glowing lichen.
Even more tunnel. Still the change of fresh air and dryness are almost a welcome respite from the ocean water. There are many different kinds of mushrooms, moss, and lichen grown along the floor and up the walls. There is even a bit of moist dirt, yes dirt..
Looks like at sometime, this place led to the outside. A natural earthquake or even a magical one might have led to this cave-in. The earth here feels warm and soft to the touch. Even a ray of light and a slight breeze is felt. Is it possible that this could lead to Port Mir or even to Birch Island? We will never know, unless another earthquake shakes it loose.
As the coral reef almost fades away, a large cavern mouth becomes visible. The cave leads towards the north into the ocean floor. The surrounding ocean water is very cold and still. The darkness of the cavern seems to echo with strange sounds, what might lurk within?
A tunnel made of coral, sea mud, and volcanic mud dives deep down into the ocean floor. It goes north and the darkness is almost unbearable. What dangers lurk or live at the end, where does it lead? Only one way to find out, go north.
The cave tunnel seems to come to an end, there is much kelp hanging along the walls. The kelp hangs down over what looks to be another cave opening. Off to the northwest can be seen a building just sitting on the ocean floor. What treasures lie within its walls, what creatures guard such a treasure...ponder... it awaits..go north and explore..
Oh my, SHARKS, seem to be guarding something around here. The coral reef tunnel opened up into a large cave, with an opening going down. It doesn't seem the guardians of this cave will allow anyone to pass. The cave is dark with glowing kelp, the kelp hangs down the coral cave.
Glowing kelp covers almost all the coral cave walls. Many strands of kelp hang down from the ceiling, this gives the cave a luminescent glow. Other than that, it is just a tunnel leading down into the ocean floor.
There is a building of some type almost hidden by the kelp. The walls of the coral cavern touch almost every spot on the building. The only way into the building is through the door. The door is plated with gold and embossed with an odd symbol. The building is almost a dome and has streaks of many colors embedded within the walls.
This large room is dominated by a large altar, which is at the far end of the room. There are no benches or other furnishings in the room. Behind the altar is a large statue of a giant white shark. The eyes of the statue are huge red gems. There are doorways to the north, east and south.
Not much here. Mostly the room is used for storage. There are weapons, robes, barrels, and a few bags. The barrels are full of a reddish liquid, which is almost like a thick pudding. The floor is covered with a thin layer of ocean sand and some seaweed.
This very large room has been dug out and the wall removed to allow access to the ocean. The sharks use this room to rest and to get food. There is very little in the room except some broken barrels and bits of meat floating about the water.
The floor here is stained with a dark brown color. This same stain is down the side of the altar. The floor behind here is littered with bones and bits of decaying flesh. A bowl sits on the floor and resting inside is a long curved blade also stained dark brown.
A very long hallway with nothing of value. A few bits of glowing seaweed are stuck on the walls, giving a little bit of light to the area. The water is cool and once in a while a small fish or other ocean creature swims by.
This small room has many weapons, knives, and containers. The containers are waxed shut and most of the items here are scattered about. Looks like some sort of store room.
A spiral stairway leads up to the next floor of the building. The stairwell is also full of water, the ocean even finds its way up here. The stairs lead to a small hallway leading west.
The walls of the hallways are covered with a glowing slime which clings to them, even underwater. This slime gives the hallway a bit of light, which allows a bit of visibility. The hallway goes in all directions, so it really doesn't matter which path you choose.
Not much here but a dead end. It does appear that the sahuagin may use this spot for a trash dump. Scattered all along the floor is junk and garbage. The filth is full of small crawling sea creatures, which seem to thrive by just living here.
Just a long plain hallway, nothing much else of interest here. A bit of that glowing slime sticks to the walls. The ocean water is very cold and still.

This room is almost like all the others on this level of the building. There is that same green sticky slime along the walls. There are but a few chairs and it looks like this room is only for one or two to use. There is an open chest on the floor in one part of the room, it contains a few pearls, some gold, and a bronze dagger. Nothing really else of any value.
Very little is different about this room, same size and shape as all the others. Same sticky green slime along the walls. It does look like the room of a cleric, there is a small altar next to the door, and a few pieces of food left scattered on the floor. There is a large statue of a shark sitting next to the altar and along the floor rests a blood stained dagger and bowl.
Except for the size this room is just like all the rest on this level. A bit of green slime sticks to walls, it glows and sticks to anything that touches it. There are a few furnishings about the room. Looks like a large sleeping area.
This room is identical to all the others on this floor, having that sticky green slime stuck to the walls. However it looks like it is used for storage. There are many crossbow bolts, some crossbows, tridents, spears, nets, and many daggers just scattered on the floor. Not much in the way of armor just weapons, what must that say about those that make this place their home.
Just a long plain hallway, nothing much else of interest here. A bit of slime glows along the walls. It is sticky to touch.
This room appears to be a place that the sahuagin use for resting. It is underwater like most of the building is. There is room here for many sahuagin, but most are out doing things. They only rest when not assigned to duties of guarding the building or making raids on the surface.
This room appears to be a place that the sahuagin use for resting. It is also underwater, like most of this building is. There is room here for a few sahuagin, but most seem to be out and about doing assigned duties.

This hallway and waiting area is where the spiral staircase from the 2nd floor leads to. There are three rooms off of this one. Again there is that same sticky green slime along all the walls, it was very thick on the stairs leading up here.
This room is identical in size to the room a bit north of here. There is no sign of any green slime anywhere. It is decorated in an austere manner. There are no adornments of any kind in the room except for a small shrine to a shark like god. On this shrine are a blood stained dagger, a few gems, and a silver cup.
This very large room is almost clear of that green slime that has been almost everywhere else. There are large bolts of rich cloth hanging all around the room. The drapery moves languidly in the water's current. There are two sets of nice chainmail tossed into the corner, some flails, some leather armor, and a few gems. Must be items taken from raids on the sea-elfs or worse taken from the creature used as sacrifices to these creatures' deity.
This is a large storage area, there is a door to the west. There is no sign of green slime here. The floor is lined with many barrels, which seem to be coated in wax, some bags filled with food stuff, and giant shells filled with a plant like mixture. A chest has a few silver cups and some large 2 prong forks. Not much else of interest.
This large room is intended to keep fresh food in. Hanging in cages are the bodies of three humanoids. These creatures are dead and seem to have died by drowning. The water is very cold here, almost like a watery freezer.
