Pray

pray <immortal name, request>

This is a simple way for mortals to contact their deity in hopes of receiving a response or help. Also, it could be a way to just simply worship ;-).\ The chance of your prayer being heard is based on your
level of experience, you will receive a bonus to this chance if you are of the cloth (Cleric). If 'your prayer fades to quickly...' your prayer failed to reach the hearing of the immortals. To pray simply type 'pray DIETYNAME, wouldst thou be kind enough to tell me the way to Ravenloft from the swamp monster?'.\ Keep prayers reasonably short, but try to be polite and in character. Complicated prayers will get ignore most likely, and people asking for equipment, experience or the like will be ignore no matter what. If an immortal is busy, or does not feel like answering your prayer they are not required to acknowledge you. Be respectful, and there is more chance you will get what you ask for. You may only pray for yourself. Some of the high gods may grant potions single effect potions if you ask for the potion by its proper name. Also, to discourage hoarding, if you already have one of a potion a second potion of that type will not be granted. (Passing potions to friend to hold while you pray will really irritate the gods.) Please do not pray for something you already have. Information prayers may be for information the immortal learned as a mortal, such as directions, or what zone to start looking for something in. The information granted will not be very specific. You may also pray for one of the following: your current armor class, your current + to hit, your current + to damage, or your current alignment number.\ The lowest level immortals, newbie immortals and saints, do not have the godly power to create potions, but they may grant what they can create. They may give minor creation items. (The\ minor creation items may NOT be given godly enchantments.) Also, they may go buy a potion and give it to you, if you ask for it by its name (color) and they happen to know where it is for sale. (Note: the off white potion for sale in Port Mir may NOT be granted for a prayer.)
