In the game: help steal

steal <object> <target>

Use steal to steal gold or items from non-players. The chance of not getting caught depends on how well you have practiced steal, and if the person is asleep. You can only steal inventory items that you can detect.

Stealing from other players is not permitted, and will result in punishment. This includes stealing for practice. (Exception: see RACE WAR)
