Tiefling

(Not a race new characters can choose: you meet them in the world.)

Tieflings are an ancient race of medium-sized humanoids with fiendish origins. They are very rarely found in the realms today and have no natural homeland. They combine the superior dexterity of Dark Elves with the high intellect but lower wisdom of Gnomes. These traits enable them to excel as mages, sorcerers, warriors, and thieves. They are somewhat less competent as clerics and psionists. Tiefling lifespans are comparable to that of humans.
