CHOP: barbarians, warriors and rangers can chop wood with an axe (an axe, hand axe, two-handed axe or halberd) wielded. Chop down a tree that stands in the room by its name, or in a forest just "chop tree" (inside a great tree, "chop wood" cuts a block from its walls). Strong, nimble choppers do best; giants and half-giants have an edge. A tree once chopped down is a stump. Chopping tires you.

BUILD: with the woodworking skill, a piece of chopped wood becomes a weapon:

The higher your level and skill, the finer the work (from poorly made to divine), and the better its bonuses to hit and damage. A failed attempt splinters the wood.

Woodworking is taught to rangers, druids, thieves and barbarians.
